Lighting up the sea with Tien Giang fishermen

Attending the program were former Politburo member, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh; Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc - Head of the Standing Office of the Central Propaganda Department for the Southern Region - and leaders of Tien Giang province.

Visiting the families of 3 fishermen, the Organizing Committee gave practical gifts to the fishermen, each gift worth 5 million VND, including: batteries, light bulbs, medicine bags, Con O battery combo box, 1 roll of specialized rope and a shopping voucher worth 1 million VND.

Fishermen expressed their joy when leaders at all levels showed concern, encouraged them, shared their difficulties, and gave them practical gifts. They expressed their determination to go out to sea, stick to the sea, and strictly comply with the law on seafood exploitation at sea...

In addition, former Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and the Organizing Committee of the program "Lighting up the sea with fishermen" came to the Hall of the People's Committee of Vam Lang town to present 200 gifts to 200 fishing households in the province. At the same time, 25 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND in cash and 10 notebooks, were also awarded to students from fishing families who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies.

In addition, on the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, the Organizing Committee also presented 200 gifts to children, each gift worth about 1 million VND, including: school supplies, notebooks, batteries, fresh milk, fruit milk, cakes, candies, sausages, instant noodles... and 300,000 VND in cash.

It is expected that on the morning of June 2, the Organizing Committee will carry out a program to examine and provide free medicine to 500 fishermen in Tien Giang province.
