Towards the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2022), the 33rd anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2022), the 50th anniversary of the "Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air" victory (December 1972 - December 12, 2022), on the afternoon of December 12, at the Presidential Palace, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with the delegation of the Liaison Committee of the Veterans Association of Division 341. Also attending was General Ngo Xuan Lich, former member of the Politburo, former Minister of National Defense .
On behalf of the Party and State leaders,President Nguyen Xuan Phuc acknowledged and commended the Division's outstanding achievements over the past 50 years. Now, after completing their mission and returning to civilian life, the Veterans of Division 341 are actively participating in the Division's Traditional Liaison Committee in 23 localities.
The President highly appreciated the Division's veterans for always maintaining the good qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", uniting and helping each other, regularly organizing visits to encourage families with meritorious services, helping members with economic difficulties, searching for and collecting martyrs' remains...
The President hopes that the Veterans' Tradition Liaison Committee of Division 341 will continue to preserve the good image of "Uncle Ho's Army", always be a shining example for their families and descendants to follow, and contribute to the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Vietnam Fatherland Front to actively participate in building a stable and strong grassroots political system and building a rich and beautiful homeland. Continue to have activities of comradeship, support and help each other in life, especially with families of martyrs, members who are war invalids and members in difficult circumstances, and pay more attention to retired veterans so that they can promote the spirit of self-reliance, patriotism and revolution in life.
