The Google Year In Search 2025 list announced on December 5 includes 10 typical topics: "General trends," "Photography," "Movies (general)," "Vietnamese movies," "Concerts," "Songs," "News," "How to," "What is" and " Travel ." The list is compiled based on the trends and information that Vietnamese people are most interested in and searched for the most in the past year.
In the "Travel" field, the trend picture clearly shows the interest in domestic destinations when all 10 leading keywords belong to Vietnam. In which, Da Lat ( Lam Dong ) is in the number one position.
The fact that 10 domestic tourist destinations appear in the "Travel" topic shows that users are increasingly interested in domestic tourist destinations, demonstrating the growth and development potential of the Vietnamese tourism industry.
According to Google, the number of searches related to Da Lat is spread all year round, showing a stable level of interest. The peak falls in late December 2024 - the season of pink grass blooming, early February - the time when cherry blossoms bloom, and summer (June - August) - when tourists flock to Lam Vien plateau to avoid the heat.
Pleasant climate, romantic landscape and a series of unique festival and cultural experiences help Dalat maintain its appeal on the domestic tourism map.
Following Da Lat are An Giang , Mui Ne (Lam Dong), Da Nang, Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Ca Mau, Phu Quoc and Vung Tau (HCMC). The fact that 10/10 keywords are domestic destinations clearly reflects the trend of Vietnamese tourists returning to the domestic market, especially in the context of the domestic tourism industry's efforts to diversify products and upgrade services. This is also a positive signal showing that the domestic market continues to be the growth pillar of Vietnam's tourism in the new year.

Among the most searched destinations, Mui Ne attracts attention with its advantages of blue sea - white sand - golden sunshine, unique fishing village culture and a chain of coastal resorts with competitive prices. This place is also the "headquarters" of windsurfing and kiteboarding, attracting a large number of international tourists every north wind season.
An Giang is a name that has accelerated strongly after the administrative boundary merger from July 2025. With a tourism ecosystem spanning from culture, spirituality, ecology to islands, An Giang owns a series of outstanding resources: Ba Chua Xu Temple on Sam Mountain, Tra Su Melaleuca Forest, Chau Giang Cham Village, Hon Phu Tu scenic spot and archipelagos such as Phu Quoc, Hon Son, Nam Du, Ha Tien.
Phu Quoc continues to be the "locomotive" of the region when it was recognized by Booking.com as the most popular destination during the year-end holiday season, with an 86% increase in searches compared to the same period last year, ranking 9th in the search trend table.
According to data from the An Giang Department of Tourism, the province's tourism industry in 2025 recorded strong progress, estimated to welcome 24.13 million visitors, an increase of 27.3% over the previous year; of which international visitors reached 1.91 million, nearly double, far exceeding the plan. Total tourism revenue reached 67,684 billion VND , an increase of more than 91%.

Quang Ninh also emerged on the Google list, but in a different direction: the number of searches skyrocketed after the capsized tourist boat Bay Xanh 58 on July 19, killing 39 people. The incident raised the need to tighten the work of waterway safety and management of tourist boat activities in the bays.
Despite not appearing in the top search keywords for travel, the demand for overseas travel among Vietnamese tourists is still significant. According to Booking.com, Bangkok, Tokyo and Seoul are the three most searched international destinations during the year-end holidays - mainly due to the advantages of short flights, vibrant shopping and a vibrant festival season.
In 2024, the 10 most searched travel keywords by Vietnamese people on Google are Malaysia, Vinh Hy, Hoi An, Con Son Can Tho, Gia Lai, Europe, Da Lat, Thuy Chau Tourist Area, Da Nang, Vietnam.
