Da Nang welcomed 6.6 million visitors in the first 7 months of the year

According to the Department of Statistics of Da Nang City, in July 2024, accommodation establishments in Da Nang welcomed 1.3 million visitors, an increase of nearly 15% over the previous month and 49% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors reached more than 427 thousand, an increase of more than 23%; domestic visitors reached more than 902 thousand, an increase of approximately 65% ​​over the same period in 2023.

In the first 7 months of 2024, the total number of guests served by Da Nang accommodation establishments reached 6.6 million, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors reached 2.5 million, an increase of 34.7%; domestic visitors reached 4.2 million, an increase of nearly 32%.

Notably, the number of overnight tourists in the first 7 months of the year reached 4.9 million (up 27.4%), of which international overnight visitors reached 2.3 million (up 27.4%); the number of day-stay visitors reached 1.7 million (up 52.7%), of which international day-stay visitors reached 145,700 (up more than 54%).

Revenue from accommodation and catering services in July 2024 reached VND2,772 billion, up 29.8% over the same period last year. In the first 7 months of 2024, total revenue reached VND15,700 billion, up 23.5% over the same period last year. Of which, accommodation revenue reached VND5,759 billion, up 34.2%; food and beverage revenue reached VND9,942 billion, up 18%.

‏Tourism service revenue in July reached more than VND 853.2 billion, up 39.2% over the same period. In the first 7 months of 2024, revenue reached nearly VND 4,344 billion, accounting for 5.5% of the total and up nearly 58% over the same period last year.‏

The number of tourists traveling on tours in the past 7 months reached 824,300 arrivals, up nearly 9% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors increased by 45.6%; domestic visitors decreased by 4.8% and Vietnamese tourists traveling abroad increased by 19.1% over the same period last year.
