Da Nang: Stopping illegal tutoring classes that were denounced by residents

TPO - The English teacher has not yet presented a license to organize extra teaching and learning activities, nor does she have a Pedagogical certificate.

Residents of Hoa Cuong ward ( Da Nang city) have complained about illegal tutoring activities at alley 408, Hoang Dieu street. This tutoring class, run by Ms. HTNA, is held in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings on weekdays.

Authorities in Hoa Cuong ward have inspected and shut down an unlicensed tutoring class.

According to residents, Ms. HA is not registered to teach extra classes, does not have any teaching qualifications or certificates, and is not licensed to operate educational activities in the residential area. This unauthorized teaching affects the safety and quality of education for students. The teaching location is a rented room that also serves as her residence, making it unsuitable.

Furthermore, the teaching process and the noise generated from the classroom frequently affect the daily lives of surrounding residents and disrupt order in the residential area.

On December 9th, the People's Committee of Hoa Cuong Ward announced that after receiving complaints from citizens, the ward assigned the Department of Culture and Social Affairs to form an inspection team and conduct an inspection of this tutoring class.

Upon inspection, it was found that Ms. HTNA was organizing extracurricular English classes. At the time of inspection, there were 6 children, aged between grades 1 and 2. During the inspection, Ms. A. failed to present her business registration certificate and the permit to organize extracurricular classes as required by regulations.

Ms. A has a Bachelor's degree in Economics, but no teaching degree or teaching certificate.

The inspection team requested that Ms. A. immediately cease all teaching and learning activities until she fully meets the conditions stipulated by current regulations.
