Orders increase, businesses continuously expand production
In 2023, Viet Czech Joint Stock Company ( Da Nang ) will benefit from industrial promotion policies to invest in a pilot cleaner production machinery system, with a planer worth more than 1 billion VND, and receive support of 300 million VND.
In 2025, the company invested in an additional 5-axis CNC lathe worth more than 1 billion VND and continued to benefit from state resources from the industrial promotion program of 299 million VND.
After 2 times of receiving industrial promotion capital support, orders and revenue of Viet Czech company recorded steady increase.
“ After receiving support twice, the company's revenue has increased from 251 billion in 2023 to 260 billion in 2024 and is expected to continue to increase in 2025. We are also trusted by our partners, investors and contractors to hand over the project, thereby continuing to expand our production scale, ” informed Mr. Phan Thanh Minh - Deputy Director of Viet Czech Joint Stock Company.
Viet Czech Company is one of hundreds of enterprises in Da Nang City (including Da Nang City (old) and Quang Nam Province (old)) that benefit from support from national and local industrial promotion programs in the period 2021 - 2025 to innovate machinery, improve production capacity, and pilot cleaner production.
Mr. Thai Viet Hung, Director of the Danang Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion (Department of Industry and Trade of Danang City), said that local industrial promotion projects are closely followed and implemented right from the step of surveying the needs of the establishments, carefully evaluating the participation in the appropriate industrial promotion content for each establishment; after completing the investment, continue to monitor and evaluate the results brought about by the program in order to introduce and replicate.
The results of implementing projects related to cleaner production and support for souvenir production facilities serving tourism (integration) are highly appreciated by authorities and businesses at all levels for their practicality when participating in the program, and measurable and countable support results.
For example, after receiving support to apply machines in cleaner production, Hoa Binh carton packaging company increased printing output by 30% compared to before investment, reduced 10 tons of waste/year; and saved 150 kg of ink/month.
Or like at Ba Loc Abrasive Glue Company, after investing in machinery, raw glue output increased 16 times, finished product output increased 2 times, reducing manual labor by 50%.
Hoa Binh carton packaging paper company reduces 10 tons of waste each year by investing in cleaner production machinery with the "support" of the industrial promotion program.
Continue to improve new industrial promotion policies
In the period of 2021 - 2025, in addition to practical support from national industrial promotion projects, Da Nang City (old) and Quang Nam Province (old) also devoted many resources to industrial promotion activities, concretized by Decision No. 1419/QD-UBND dated April 27, 2021 of the People's Committee of Da Nang City approving the Industrial Promotion Program and developing the production of souvenir products for tourism in Da Nang City for the period of 2021-2025 and Decision No. 2665/QD-UBND dated September 16, 2021 of the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province approving the Industrial Promotion Program of Quang Nam Province for the period of 2021-2025.
Over the past 5 years, 263 businesses have been “supported” by industrial promotion capital to innovate machinery and equipment, and apply cleaner production. Thousands of rural industrial establishments have been supported to participate in fairs and product promotion programs. The total amount of money for industrial promotion activities during this period is more than 56.86 billion VND.
Ms. Do Thi Quynh Tram, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City, said that through monitoring and survey, most of the enterprises and rural industrial establishments that received machinery support have maximized their efficiency.
Modern machinery increases product quality and competitiveness, thereby increasing consumption and orders, expanding production scale, helping to overcome difficulties and creating momentum for rural industrial establishments to develop.
In addition, in 2025, with the implementation of the two-level local government model, the management and implementation of industrial promotion policies will have many changes. Industrial promotion resources will be concentrated and used more effectively, helping rural industrial establishments access support policies more conveniently, avoiding overlap. The two-level local government model also contributes to shortening the approval process, increasing the initiative in implementing support programs, and gradually forming a network linking production and consumption in the locality.
Enterprises expanding production and increasing revenue are measurable results and typical evidence of the effective combination of state resources with proactive investment by enterprises.
According to a representative of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang, the city will continue to perfect new industrial promotion policies, create a transparent legal corridor, encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to boldly participate, and at the same time integrate with digital transformation programs, energy saving, and development of typical rural industrial products.
“The method of industrial promotion in the direction of supporting with counterpart capital from enterprises has proven to be clearly effective in Da Nang. The combination of state resources and proactive investment from enterprises has created a strong driving force for technological innovation, promoting clean production, improving competitiveness, contributing to the goal of developing modern, green and sustainable rural industry” , Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade Do Thi Quynh Tram emphasized.
Hundreds of Da Nang businesses have benefited from capital support from the national industrial promotion program and industrial promotion programs to invest in machinery and equipment, thereby expanding production. This is a typical example of the effectiveness of combining state support resources with proactive investment by businesses.
