Creating changes in industrial and handicraft production
The implementation of the industrial promotion program in recent times has had a positive impact on the development of industrial and handicraft production in Lam Dong , especially in rural areas, remote areas, and areas with a large concentration of ethnic minorities. Through support from the program, many establishments have boldly invested in expanding production, applying new technologies, gradually forming production models with a larger scale and more efficiency than before.
The most prominent is the trend of in-depth investment. Previously, production mainly stopped at the preliminary processing or raw material stage, but now many establishments have switched to deep processing to create high-value products such as: green tea balls, oolong tea, roasted and ground coffee, silk, fruit juice, refined wood, local specialty products, etc. These changes help increase the value of agricultural products, increase the production value of the whole industry and contribute positively to the industrialization process of rural agriculture .

According to data from the Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade, in the two years 2024 - 2025, industrial promotion work will be implemented with 67 programs and projects, with a total budget of 11.5 billion VND. Specifically, in 2024, local industrial promotion will implement 29 projects with a budget of 4,800 million VND. In 2025, national industrial promotion will support 5 projects with a total budget of 3,700 million VND, supporting 13 beneficiaries; local industrial promotion will implement 33 projects with 3,000 million VND.
This funding focuses on supporting the following contents: Information dissemination, training to improve management capacity, application of technical advances, investment in automated production lines, and closed technology. Thanks to that, businesses optimize resources, reduce input material costs, limit waste, increase productivity and create stable jobs for local workers.
Priority projects support the processing of key agricultural products: Tea, coffee, honey, rice, wine, macadamia products, dragon fruit, seafood, incense, agarwood, etc. Many businesses expressed their excitement at receiving timely capital, helping them complete production processes, invest in modern machinery, expand markets, increase revenue and improve competitiveness.
Focus on innovation, technology application and value chain expansion
Entering 2026, Lam Dong determined to continue to consider industrial promotion as an important "lever" to promote in-depth rural industrial development. This orientation is set in the context of the province continuing to implement new decrees such as Decree 45/2012/ND-CP, Decree 235/2025/ND-CP and closely following the Socio- Economic Development Strategy 2021 - 2030.
Accordingly, the locality focuses on supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment and technology transfer. This is an urgent requirement for rural industrial establishments to improve productivity, product quality and reduce production costs. New technology not only creates competitive products but also helps establishments to be more proactive in raw material production and linking with the value chain.
Replicate demonstration models of advanced techniques and production processes. The implementation of demonstration models helps businesses see clear results, thereby confidently investing and expanding production. Lam Dong plans to focus on advantageous areas such as agricultural processing, food, wooden furniture, and local specialty products.
Promote the development of commodity production according to the value chain. The goal is to form chains connecting raw materials - processing - consumption, promoting regional advantages and meeting market demand. This is especially important for Lam Dong agricultural products, which always need stability in output.
To implement effectively, the Department of Industry and Trade also proposed many synchronous solutions. Regarding mechanisms and policies, localities proactively advised on the development, amendment and supplementation of legal documents related to industrial promotion. Innovate forms of information and propaganda so that businesses and localities can quickly access support policies. Review, update and fully post legal documents on the media and digital platforms of the industry.
Regarding the organizational structure, Lam Dong strengthens coordination between departments and branches to implement the program in a unified and effective manner. Promotes administrative reform, shortens the time for project appraisal and approval. Apply online software to help businesses conveniently register for industrial promotion projects. Strengthens professional training for industrial promotion staff. Proposes investment in facilities for public service units directly performing industrial promotion tasks.
The province also integrates the industrial promotion program with the province's target programs and socio-economic development projects. Closely coordinates with localities in developing and organizing the implementation of annual projects. Promotes the dissemination of industrial promotion policies to the rural industrial business community.
In 2025, Lam Dong will implement 5 national industrial promotion projects, including 3 group projects and 2 individual projects with a total support budget of 3,700 million VND, supporting 13 beneficiaries; local industrial promotion has 33 projects and programs with a total budget of 3,000 million VND.
