Regarding rice, last week's buying and selling transactions were more active than last week, with fresh rice prices of all types fluctuating little.
According to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 5,100 - 5,300 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of fresh OM 5451 rice fluctuates at 5,400 - 5,600 VND/kg, compared to the weekend.
In many localities today, buying and selling transactions are limited, prices are stable.
Similar to rice, during the week of sluggish market, domestic rice prices were relatively stable, while export rice fluctuated slightly compared to the previous week. Specifically, domestic rice prices remained stable, while some raw rice export prices remained stable from the beginning to the middle of the week, then decreased slightly at the end of the week.
According to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province and Vietnamese Rice, currently OM 5451 export raw rice fluctuates at 8,000 - 8,300 VND/kg; Soc Det export raw rice fluctuates at 7,300 - 7,450 VND; IR 504 export raw rice fluctuates at 7,550 - 7,650 VND/kg; CL 555 export raw rice fluctuates at 7,340 - 7,450 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice fluctuates at 8,700 - 8,900 VND/kg; OM 380 export raw rice fluctuates at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg; OM 18 export raw rice fluctuates at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg compared to the weekend.
Regarding by-products, the price of by-products fluctuates from 7,400 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, OM 5451 broken rice fluctuates at 7,400 - 7,500 VND/kg; bran price fluctuates at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to the weekend.
At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds remained unchanged compared to the weekend. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND11,000 - 12,000/kg; Huong Lai rice at VND22,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice at VND21,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice at VND20,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 18,000/kg; common white rice at VND16,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 17,000/kg; Soc Thai rice at VND20,000/kg; Japanese rice at VND22,000/kg.
In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to the weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price of 5% broken fragrant rice fluctuates between 420 and 440 USD/ton; 100% broken rice fluctuates between 314 and 318 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice fluctuates between 447 and 451 USD/ton.
According to the latest information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in November 2025, Vietnam exported about 320 thousand tons of rice, reaching 169.8 million USD. In the first 11 months of 2025, rice exports reached 7.5 million tons, earning 3.83 billion USD, down 11.5% in volume and 27.7% in value compared to the same period last year.
The average rice export price in 11 months was 512.1 USD/ton, 18.3% lower than the same period last year. Among the markets, the Philippines remained the largest consumer market with a 39.8% market share. However, the export value to this market decreased by 34.9%. On the contrary, the markets of Ghana and Ivory Coast grew positively, up 29.8% and 79.8% respectively. Among the 15 largest markets, Bangladesh increased the most with an increase of 155.1 times, while Malaysia decreased by 51.3%.
