The event emphasizes the mission of “from lab to market”, bringing AIoT solutions closer to practical application and commercialization.

This year, InnoWorks 2025 witnessed the remarkable "maturity" of projects when the competing teams did not just stop at the technical foundation but deeply integrated startup thinking into the solution.

This maturity is demonstrated by high technical quality, application teams proficient in AIoT platforms, especially Advantech's WISE-IoT platform, which enables flexible connectivity and conversion of data into useful information, ensuring stability and scalability.

Clear business model, demonstrated through projects that build a business model with a clear return on investment (ROI) index (such as reducing electricity, increasing OEE performance, reducing errors).

In addition, the solutions focus on two main pillars: “Smart Manufacturing” and “Energy & Environment”, directly addressing the challenges of digital transformation and sustainable development in Vietnam.

As a result, Vietnam-Germany University won the first prize worth 65 million VND, with the ALoT solar energy network competition to monitor and forecast salinity in real time, and self-correct sensor errors.

The organizers also awarded second, third and consolation prizes, with total prize value up to hundreds of millions of VND, along with opportunities for incubation, mentoring and connecting with industrial partners.

Initiated globally in 2019 by Advantech, the AIoT Developer InnoWorks 2025 Application Development Competition focuses on solving practical problems on the industrial hardware and software ecosystem (typically WISE-IoT).

The 2025 version in Vietnam emphasizes two themes “Smart Manufacturing” and “Energy & Environment”, aiming at operational efficiency, energy saving and sustainable development.
