With a sense of responsibility, unity, and a concerted effort to overcome difficulties, the Party Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Military Command focused on leading the unit to successfully complete the targets and tasks of the Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

The provincial armed forces effectively fulfill their role in advising the Party Committee, the Military Command of the Military Region, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee on leading and implementing local military and national defense work; leading the successful implementation of the unit's political tasks and building a clean, strong, and exemplary Party Committee and a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and outstanding".

Building a "lean, efficient, and strong" armed force.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command actively and proactively fulfilled their advisory role to the Party Committee and the Command of Military Region 9, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee, and coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to effectively implement local military and national defense tasks. They successfully reorganized and restructured the provincial armed forces towards a "lean, efficient, and strong" approach.

Strictly manage the mobilized reserve forces, organize basic units with sufficient numbers and the correct military expertise. Build a widespread and strong militia and self-defense force in all aspects.

Achieve 100% of the recruitment and conscription targets. Improve the quality of military recruitment. National defense and security education councils at all levels thoroughly understand and effectively implement their assigned tasks. Closely coordinate with local Party committees and authorities in planning socio-economic development in conjunction with national defense and security.

Leading, directing, thoroughly understanding, and strictly implementing directives, resolutions, orders, and guidelines on combat readiness and training. Deploying, developing, supplementing, and adjusting the system of combat readiness documents at all levels to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

Actively coordinate efforts to accurately assess, predict, and evaluate the situation, promptly advising on how to handle various situations and preventing any unexpected events. Organize training and refresher courses for standing forces, reserve forces, and militia in accordance with directives from higher authorities.

The armed forces successfully completed the planned training exercises, ensuring absolute safety. They also participated in competitions, sports events, and training programs on national defense and security, achieving good results. Furthermore, the armed forces demonstrated a leading and pioneering role in coordinating with local authorities to effectively carry out tasks related to disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief, as well as rescue operations.

The management and protection of the national border are implemented comprehensively and synchronously using various forms and measures in accordance with the law and border regulations. The armed forces coordinate with all levels and forces to closely manage and protect the border and maritime areas of the province, as well as the areas bordering other provinces. They effectively combat and suppress all types of crime and play a core, proactive, and positive role in building a strong national border defense system and a comprehensive border defense posture in the coastal border region.

Building a strong, comprehensive unit that is "exemplary and outstanding".

Over the past period, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have thoroughly implemented the Party's guidelines and policies, as well as the State's laws and regulations, in building and defending the Fatherland. They have effectively carried out ideological work, promptly identifying and resolving emerging issues. They have organized political education, propaganda, and legal education for all personnel in a rigorous manner, and cultural and artistic activities and cultural institutions have increasingly improved in quality and effectiveness.

Closely linking the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style with the implementation of Resolution No. 847 of the Central Military Commission, the "Promoting Traditions, Contributing Talents, and Upholding the Name of Ho Chi Minh's Soldiers in the New Era" campaign, the "Determined to Win" emulation movement, and other intensive and high-priority emulation campaigns. Officers and soldiers actively and proactively fight against and refute the erroneous views of hostile forces in cyberspace.

Officers and soldiers of the armed forces actively participate in social activities, thereby further strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people.

In addition, the military effectively implemented policies related to the military and its support system, caring for families of policy beneficiaries and those who have contributed to the revolution, and participating in movements such as: the armed forces joining forces to build new rural areas; joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; joining hands for the poor; skillful mass mobilization; Tet (Lunar New Year) for the military and civilians; donating houses of gratitude, houses for comrades, houses of camaraderie, etc., with funding amounting to hundreds of billions of dong. Mass organizations and military councils actively implemented revolutionary action programs and movements for young people, and campaigns for youth and women, contributing to the successful fulfillment of the political tasks of the agency and unit.

The armed forces are committed to effectively implementing social welfare policies, contributing to the xây dựng nông thôn mới (new rural development) program, and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.

The barracks system from the provincial level to the grassroots level has been repaired, upgraded, and newly constructed to basically meet the requirements of standardization and uniformity; logistics, technical support, and finance are well ensured for the activities of the provincial armed forces.

Building a clean and strong Party organization.

According to the assessment of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command, the work of disseminating and implementing the Party's viewpoints and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the directives and resolutions of the Party at all levels has been well led and directed.

Party committees, Party organizations, and the contingent of cadres and Party members consistently possess a good understanding of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, steadfastly adhering to the goals of national independence and socialism, having absolute faith in the Party's guidelines and policies, and firmly grasping the requirements, tasks, and functions of national defense in the new situation.

The armed forces conducted extensive political and ideological activities on Party building and rectification, as well as the political system. 100% of Party committees and commanders strictly implemented regulations and rules, and there were no cadres or Party members who had degenerated in terms of political ideology, morality, or lifestyle, or who had undergone "self-evolution" or "self-transformation" within the organization.

Strictly implement regulations on the exemplary conduct of cadres and Party members, especially Party committees and leading cadres at all levels, in conjunction with promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style, fostering the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," resolutely combating individualism, overcoming limitations and shortcomings with the motto of "self-reflection and self-correction," self-criticism and criticism; overcoming the fading of ideals, declining willpower, reluctance to face difficulties and hardships, and the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

Party committees and organizations always maintain unity, loyalty to the country, devotion to the people, diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality, and selflessness; they engage in frank and serious self-criticism and criticism, and uphold strict discipline from top to bottom.

The review, evaluation, training, deployment, appointment, rotation, transfer out of units, transfer to other units, and recruitment of personnel are carried out in accordance with regulations, procedures, and principles.
