At the end of August, within the framework of the 13th “Thai Silk Road to the World ” event at the Royal Thai Navy Hall in Bangkok, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung and his wife Ho Thu Trang had an impressive performance in traditional Vietnamese costumes inspired by the beauty of Hoi An ancient town, on the basis of Thai silk.
The event "Thai Silk Road reaches out to the world" attracted the participation of many representatives of many government departments and diplomatic corps of many countries.
The highlight of the event was the Thai silk fashion show presented by Thai government officials, ambassadors of various countries and representatives of international diplomatic missions.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Thai Culture Minister Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol affirmed: “Silk is considered a cultural heritage of Thailand with its exquisite beauty, carrying stories of Thai history, reflecting the heritage, wisdom and lifestyle of the Thai ethnic community."

The event “Thai Silk Road to the World” is considered a bridge connecting cultural relations between Thailand and many countries around the world. This is also an opportunity for talented students to become globally famous Thai silk designers.
The success of the event helps to further promote Thai silk internationally, helping to boost the community economy in Thailand as well as the sustainable development of Thai silk.
The event organizers presented many valuable prizes to the best Thai students who participated in the 5th Thai Silk Fashion Design Competition. The event also included booths to introduce Thai silk products and many tourism promotion activities, promoting the soft power of the land of golden temples.
The 13th “Thai Silk Road to the World” event will last until September 2. In addition to exhibitions and introductions of Thai silk, the event also organizes many activities to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, who has contributed to the revival and development of Thailand’s traditional silk industry.
