The Great Victory of Spring 1975 - a brilliant historical milestone of the nation

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the afternoon of April 26, Da Nang City organized a meeting with historical witnesses who directly participated in the Ho Chi Minh campaign. Attending the meeting were Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Quang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang, Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Trung.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the heroic and glorious history of the nation. With the spirit of “speed – faster”, “bold – bolder”, under the leadership of the Party, with the spirit of bravery, intelligence and creativity, our army and people achieved a great victory in the spring of 1975, the peak of which was the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign to liberate the South and unify the country.

In particular, within the framework of the meeting, there was an exchange program with historical witnesses. Through the emotional stories of the veterans, it contributed to recreating the years and months of arduous but extremely glorious and proud fighting of our nation.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang expressed his deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who directly participated in the Ho Chi Minh campaign, and affirmed that the April 30 victory is a shining symbol of national unity, of indomitable will, patriotism and aspiration for peace.

Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang said that for Da Nang City, after 50 years of national reunification, under the leadership of the Party, the people of the city have overcome countless difficulties and challenges, gradually built and achieved great achievements. The specific results were recognized and evaluated by General Secretary To Lam at the Ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the City Liberation Day. This is the pride of the Party Committee, government and people of the city; demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State leaders, especially the General Secretary himself, to Da Nang City and the General Secretary has given extremely important new directions and directions to create a political foundation for the sustainable and long-term development of the city in the coming time.
