Dam Vinh Hung and Vietnamese stars who were deceived online

Not only singer Dam Vinh Hung, many Vietnamese stars have also become victims of scams, transferring money worth hundreds of millions of dong.

On the afternoon of August 8, Dam Vinh Hung said he had just been tricked by a bad guy into withdrawing more than 200 million VND from his personal bank account by using a fake identity to identify him.

After that, Dam Vinh Hung called on everyone to be vigilant to avoid being scammed unintentionally.

Previously, singer Luong Gia Huy said he was also tricked into transferring money and lost nearly 500 million VND.

Accordingly, Luong Gia Huy received a call from someone claiming to be a "bank employee" contacting him to inform him about the procedure for increasing his credit card limit.

Luong Gia Huy shared that because he was too busy, he gave his phone to his assistant to handle. Due to being off guard, this person followed the scammer's requests, completed procedures such as taking photos of his ID card, visa card, providing OTP code to the other end of the line...

The male singer did not notice anything unusual because he had been told beforehand that the money would be refunded once the deduction was made. At midnight, the scammer withdrew money from Luong Gia Huy's card and his wife's card, and the male singer discovered it and immediately blocked the card. The total amount of money he lost was nearly 500 million VND.

In March 2022, singer Duc Phuc was also scammed by a group of people who impersonated Minh Hai (Hoa Minzy's ex-boyfriend) and Erik, appropriating 32 million VND. Model Tra Ngoc Hang also said that she was scammed in a similar way, for a sum of up to 500 million VND.

The manager of a series of famous artists, Luong Trong Nghia, said that his personal Facebook page had been taken over by a scammer. The scammer then impersonated him and used his stolen account to trick his friends into transferring large sums of money.

Some people who transferred money to the scammer were artist Ho Vinh Anh 10 million VND, singer Nam Cuong 5 million VND, singer Trang Nhung 50 million VND and artist Phan Ngoc Truc Linh 3 million VND.

Director Namcito (director of the movie Gai gia lam chieu) also informed everyone that his personal Facebook page and related accounts such as Fanpage, Instagram... were taken over.

After that, many of the director's friends received messages asking them to transfer money to a bank account with the promise of returning it soon. Some of Namcito's artist friends transferred nearly 100 million VND to the scammer.
