It's not just singer Dam Vinh Hung; many Vietnamese celebrities have also fallen victim to scams, transferring sums of money amounting to hundreds of millions of dong.

On the afternoon of August 8th, Dam Vinh Hung announced that he had been scammed out of over 200 million VND from his personal bank account by fraudsters using his identity.

Afterward, Dam Vinh Hung urged everyone to be vigilant and avoid being scammed unintentionally.

Previously, singer Luong Gia Huy revealed that he was also scammed into transferring money and lost nearly 500 million VND.

Accordingly, Luong Gia Huy received a call from someone claiming to be a "bank employee" who contacted him to explain the procedure for increasing his credit card limit.

Luong Gia Huy shared that, due to being too busy, he handed his phone to his assistant to handle. Because he was off guard, the assistant followed the scammer's instructions, completing procedures such as taking photos of his national ID card and visa card, and providing the OTP code to the caller…

The singer didn't notice anything unusual because he had been told beforehand that the money would be refunded after the deduction. It wasn't until midnight, when the scammer withdrew money from Luong Gia Huy's card and his wife's card, that the singer discovered the fraud and immediately blocked his cards. The total amount he lost was nearly 500 million VND.

In March 2022, singer Duc Phuc was also scammed out of 32 million VND by a group of individuals impersonating Minh Hai (Hoa Minzy's ex-boyfriend) and Erik. Model Tra Ngoc Hang also reported being scammed using a similar method, losing up to 500 million VND.

Luong Trong Nghia, the manager of a number of famous artists, said that his personal Facebook page had been hacked. The scammers then impersonated him and used the hacked account to trick his friends into transferring large sums of money.

Some of the people who transferred money to the scammer include artist Ho Vinh Anh (10 million VND), singer Nam Cuong (5 million VND), singer Trang Nhung (50 million VND), and artist Phan Ngoc Truc Linh (3 million VND).

Director Namcito (director of the movie "Gái già lắm chiêu") also announced that his personal Facebook page and related accounts such as his Fanpage and Instagram have been taken over.

Subsequently, many of the director's friends received messages asking them to transfer money to a bank account with the promise of early repayment. Several of director Namcito's artist friends transferred a total of nearly 100 million VND to the scammer.
