Dortmund beat Ulsan 1-0 to advance in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Before the third matchday of Group F, Dortmund and Fluminense were tied with 4 points each, needing only a draw in the final match to secure their place in the Round of 16. Both teams demonstrated maturity and sound tactical planning, taking advantage of this lead to safely advance to the next round.
Dortmund were considered the clear favorites against Ulsan Hyundai, with the European side unleashing 28 shots and controlling 60% of the ball possession. However, Dortmund only opened the scoring in the 36th minute through Daniel Svensson. The first half ended without any further notable incidents.

In the second half, Ulsan played better, beginning to exploit gaps in Dortmund's defense. The clearest chance came in the 60th minute, when Lee Jin Hhyun unleashed a shot from a tight angle on the left wing, but goalkeeper Gregor Kobel made an excellent save, maintaining the German team's advantage.
Dortmund quickly regained the advantage and put pressure on Ulsan's goal. However, on a day when their attack was out of form, the European side were unable to penetrate the opposing defense again. Winning narrowly 1-0, the German team moved to the top of Group F and secured their place in the next round.
In the other match of Group F, Fluminense and Mamelodi Sundowns drew 0-0 in a game with few dangerous opportunities. With this result, Fluminense earned 5 points after three matches, just enough to secure the second spot in the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns had to accept defeat, finishing third in the group with only two points.
Fluminense endured a difficult match against the underdog Mamelodi Sundowns. The South American side only controlled the ball 32% of the time and didn't have a single shot on target throughout the game.
Conversely, despite dominating the game and creating pressure, Mamelodi Sundowns lacked accuracy in their finishing, ultimately settling for a 0-0 draw and an early exit from the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
