Defeating Korean club, Dortmund advances to FIFA Club World Cup

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of June 26, Borussia Dortmund excellently defeated their opponent from Korea, Ulsan Hyundai with a score of 1-0 to advance to the knockout round of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the US.

Dortmund quickly regained the advantage and put pressure on Ulsan's goal. However, on a day when their attack was out of form, the European side were unable to penetrate the opposing defense again. Winning narrowly 1-0, the German team moved to the top of Group F and secured their place in the next round.

In the other match of Group F, Fluminense and Mamelodi Sundowns drew 0-0 in a game with few dangerous opportunities. With this result, Fluminense earned 5 points after three matches, just enough to secure the second spot in the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns had to accept defeat, finishing third in the group with only two points.

Fluminense endured a difficult match against the underdog Mamelodi Sundowns. The South American side only controlled the ball 32% of the time and didn't have a single shot on target throughout the game.

Conversely, despite dominating the game and creating pressure, Mamelodi Sundowns lacked accuracy in their finishing, ultimately settling for a 0-0 draw and an early exit from the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
