
Early this morning, the shooting duo of Le Thi Mong Tuyen and Nguyen Tam Quang opened the scoring with a Gold Medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation in the mixed 10m rifle event. In the decisive round, the two Vietnamese athletes demonstrated unwavering composure, defeating their Thai counterparts with a score of 16-14.
In recognition of this effort, the President of the Vietnam Shooting Federation, Do Van Binh, confirmed that a reward of 10 million VND will be given for the individual gold medal and 15 million VND for the team gold medal, to encourage the entire team in the next stage of the competition.

Later that afternoon, Canoeing continued to bring joy when Ma Thi Thuy and Nguyen Thi Huong finished first in the women's 200m double sculls event, contributing the 16th gold medal to the delegation.
In the men's 55kg kumite Karate event, Chu Van Duc competed with determination but could not overcome his Malaysian opponent, thus winning the Silver Medal.

However, Karate still made a significant mark when Khuat Hai Nam brilliantly defeated the Thai fighter in the men's 67kg kumite final, bringing another Gold Medal to Vietnam.

In the women's 55kg category, Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly put in a valiant effort but finished with a silver medal after a close 3-5 victory against the Singaporean athlete.
In Taekwondo, athlete Bac Thi Khiem performed brilliantly in the women's over 67kg and under 73kg weight categories. Against her Philippine opponent, she consistently maintained the initiative to secure a convincing victory, bringing home the 17th Gold Medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation.
Gymnastics added another Silver Medal. In the women's balance beam event, athlete Tran Doan Quynh Nam scored 12.000 points, finishing second overall.
Gymnastics continued to shine as Dinh Phuong Thanh brilliantly took the lead in the men's parallel bars final. His confident performance and precise technique earned him the 19th Gold Medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at this year's SEA Games.
The Vietnamese sports delegation continued to receive good news in the petanque event. In the men's doubles, the pair of Ly Ngoc Tai and Ngo Ron played confidently, overcoming strong regional opponents to bring home the 20th gold medal for the delegation.
Shortly afterwards, the petanque team continued to bring good news to the delegation when Nguyen Thi Thi and Nguyen Thi Thuy Kieu brilliantly defeated the Thai pair in the women's doubles final, further consolidating Vietnam's impressive achievements in this sport. This was also our 21st gold medal.
By late afternoon, the Vietnamese sports delegation continued to chase the leading group and maintained its enthusiastic momentum at the SEA Games 33.
