Vietnam - a new destination for global intelligence .
After more than three decades of formation and development (since 1991), the World Mind Sports Championship (WMC) is considered the "Olympics" of intellectual sports . The fact that Vietnam has been entrusted by the World Mind Sports Council (WMSC) to host the WMC 2025 is a great honor.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Thang Van Phuc, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Holders Association, said that the event marks a historical milestone as Vietnam pioneers in establishing new standards for the 34-year-old tournament through a technological revolution and the honoring of heritage.
The fact that Vietnam has been entrusted by the World Mind Sports Council (WMSC) to host WMC 2025 not only affirms its capacity to organize world-class events, but also realizes the vision of making Vietnam "The New Global Brain Hub".

At the 2025 "Brain Arena," nearly 300 super-intelligent individuals from almost 30 countries and territories, including super-memory powerhouses such as the UK, Germany, the US, Japan, China, India, and Mongolia, will compete in 10 of the most demanding disciplines testing speed, accuracy, and neural endurance.
These include champions with extraordinary memory abilities such as Enrico Marraffa (Italy), Gunther Kasten (Germany), Naranzul Otgon Ulaan (Mongolia), Vishvaa Rajakumar (India), and Vietnam's pride, Phuong Trinh,…
Waiting to see the performance of Vietnam's super memory contestants.

WMC 2025 will have two new features: the adoption of a comprehensive digital competition and scoring system.
The results will be displayed in real-time on an LED screen; the rotating trophy will be made of precious metals (gold, platinum, crystal, diamonds, initiated by Vietnam).
This is not only a symbol of the spirit of victory but also an artistic heritage that celebrates the inheritance and connection of intellect across borders and generations.

Raymond Keene, President of the World Memory Council (WMC), commented: “I have witnessed the history of the tournament for 34 years, but the energy and preparation of Vietnam this year have truly amazed me.”
With the application of new technology and a spirit of exceptional hospitality, I believe WMC 2025 will be the most emotional tournament ever and will set unprecedented records.”

Experts expect that, with thorough preparation and the enthusiasm of the host country, the Vietnamese super memory athletes – with a core of young talents from the HITA community – will make spectacular breakthroughs, promising to break 2-3 world records in their strong categories such as: image memorization and rapid number recognition.
The closing ceremony, awards presentation, and honoring of the first champion to lift the Rotating Cup will take place on the evening of December 14th.
Founded in 1991 by Tony Buzan and Raymond Keene, the World Memory Championship (WMC) is the oldest and most prestigious memory competition in the world.
The tournament aims to celebrate the limits of the human brain and promote the global movement for intellectual sports training.
This year's event is jointly organized by the Vietnam Memory Organization, the World Records Alliance (WorldKings), and Tam Tri Luc Group, under the supervision of the International Council of Arbitration (GOMSA).
