With outstanding performances of the songs "Dakrong River in Spring" (by To Hai) and "People of Hanoi" (by Nguyen Dinh Thi), contestant Dao Le Phuong Chi won the first prize in the Hanoi Singing Contest 2025. The prize for this talented singer is worth a total of 600 million VND, including a Vinfast 5 Plus car and cash.
The Hanoi Singing Contest 2025 kicked off in November, with over 900 contestants registering. After the preliminary and semi-final rounds, the 15 best contestants from three genres—folk, classical, and pop—advised the final round with three nights of competition for each genre and a ranking and awards ceremony.
The judging panel included many prominent figures in the music industry such as People's Artist Quang Vinh, Major General - Musician Duc Trinh, People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Tan Minh, People's Artist Ha Thuy, People's Artist Mai Hoa, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, singer Anh Tho... and many other renowned artists.

In the final round, each contestant performed two songs, one of which was about Hanoi. This resulted in diverse performances, imbued with emotion about the capital city and a love for music.
The contestants showcased their singing skills and ability to build their own image and style, particularly through their creative song choices and musical genres.
Singer Nguyen Phuong Anh won first prize in the folk music category with her two songs "Down the Thach Han River" and "Dream of Returning Home" (Vu Thanh). Contestant Nguyen Thuy Hai Anh, with her vibrant and captivating performance of "Clouds Passing Over the Threshold" (Vo Thien Thanh) and "Old Town" (Nguyen Duy Hung), won first prize in the light music category.


In particular, with the desire to elevate the Hanoi Singing Contest brand into an international platform, this year's competition attracted participants from China, Russia, South Korea, Japan, Mongolia, and other countries.

Maintaining its goal of discovering and nurturing numerous musical talents, this expansion has attracted vocalists with diverse techniques and styles. Furthermore, the competition provides an opportunity for cultural exchange, promoting Vietnamese music and the image of the capital city to friends around the world. This is an important step in the strategy of making Hanoi a destination for contemporary art and creative activities.

With their impressive performances of the Vietnamese songs "What Could Be More Beautiful?" (Nguyen Hung) and "Long Dreams" (Huy Tuan), contestants Mao Jia Le (China) and Elena Yugay (Russia) won the Hanoi Inspiration Award.
