Proposed names for two new communes are Nha Be and Hiep Phuoc

(NLDO)- Nha Be proposed to arrange 7 existing communes and towns into 2 new communes, Nha Be and Hiep Phuoc, reducing 5 units, a rate of more than 71%.

Nha Be District has just proposed a plan to arrange grassroots administrative units to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs.

Accordingly, Nha Be district proposed to rearrange 7 existing communes and towns into 2 grassroots administrative units, reducing 5 units, a rate of more than 71%.

Option 1: merge the 4 communes of Nha Be town, Phu Xuan commune, Phuoc Kien and Phuoc Loc, and name them Nha Be commune. The area of ​​the new commune after the merger is 37 ^km2 , with a population of 171,919 people.

Merge the original status of 3 communes, Nhon Duc, Long Thoi and Hiep Phuoc, into Hiep Phuoc commune (area of ​​over 63 km ² , population of 75,464 people).

Option 2: merge 4 communes (Nha Be town, Phu Xuan commune, Phuoc Kien, Phuoc Loc) and part of 2 communes (Phuoc Loc, Nhon Duc) into Nha Be commune (area of ​​over 61.6 ^km2 , population of 202,655 people).

Merge 3 communes (Nhon Duc, Long Thoi and Hiep Phuoc) and part of 2 communes (Phuoc Loc, Nhon Duc) into Hiep Phuoc commune (area of ​​over 48.7 ^km2 , population of 44,728 people).
