Vietnamese Student Association in the Russian Federation - Organizing Committee of Mam Book Fair 2025

According to the Vietnamese Student Association in the Russian Federation, this event not only highly values the significance of "planting" knowledge from an early age, emphasizing the importance of reading for the young generation living abroad, but also creates a playground for connection, spreading the spirit of volunteerism, and conveying more interesting information and knowledge to young people and students.

During the Mam Book Fair 2025, many connecting activities took place in a lively and exciting atmosphere. The final round of the contest "Road to the peak of knowledge" was extremely intense and attractive, with the champion position belonging to Pham Minh Hieu, NE Bauman National Technical University. Also within the framework of this festival, the final round of the book introduction contest "Flow of Aspiration" took place and ended with the announcement of the results for the 5 best entries. The champion of the "Flow of Aspiration" award belonged to Nguyen Hai Bang, a student of Volgagrad State University. The two contests created a knowledge playground, aiming to create conditions for young students to have the opportunity to study, connect and share their own experiences, and also a place for young people to express their love for knowledge and their homeland. Participants listened to familiar "bedside" books recreated through a fresh, passionate perspective of young people who love books and knowledge.

According to information from the Vietnam-Russia Volunteer Club, the book fair attracted nearly 500 participants, more than 400 books changed hands and hundreds of pieces of paper with loving handwriting were sent to the “Wind Box”. The booths “Cultural Roots”, “Nourishing Seeds”, “Charity Flower Season” also contributed to painting a colorful picture, where each participant was an important part of this picture, where they let the books speak - with their hearts, with their aspirations.

This year is the 5th time that Mam Book Fair has returned to the book-loving community in the capital Moscow. The event once again affirms the position of the series of activities as a meaningful cultural - intellectual - volunteer meeting place, contributing to building the Vietnamese student community in Russia to be increasingly connected, intelligent, rich in identity and actively integrated. Mr. Mai Tung Lam, Secretary of the Youth Union Executive Committee in the Russian Federation, expressed his hope that the above series of events will contribute to improving the knowledge, experience and experiences of young people and students through spreading the reading culture.

Also joining in the heroic atmosphere on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the Vietnamese Student Association in the Russian Federation solemnly organized a rally combined with the screening of the Vietnamese film “The Scent of Burning Grass”. The Vietnamese Student Association in the Russian Federation said that this event is the highlight of the series of projects on screening political and artistic films to innovate the method of political and ideological education, arousing patriotism and national pride in the community of Vietnamese youth and students in the Russian Federation.

The project is expected to continue to be implemented periodically in 2025 - a special year with many important milestones for the country. According to Mr. Mai Tung Lam, the film screening series is not simply a commemorative activity but a form of in-depth political and ideologicaleducation , a close means to convey ideals, arouse civic consciousness and national responsibility in every young person living far from home.
