According to Dong Nai Electricity Company, the origin of the power project on DT.753 route is the project "Electrifying Tan Phuoc commune, Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province" (old), belonging to the Southern Rural Energy Project, with a loan from the World Bank, energized and put into operation in 2002. In 2012, Binh Phuoc Electricity Company invested in upgrading and renovating this project to supply electricity at the request of the Silicon Ore Processing Factory.
To relocate the power grid infrastructure to expand the DT.753 route, previously, Binh Phuoc Electricity Company (old) worked with relevant departments, branches and units to review the records of power projects within the construction scope of the DT.753 route. At the same time, it proposed the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province and the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Phuoc province to propose the cost of relocating the power grid to implement the DT.753 transport infrastructure project. However, due to the lack of agreement on the source of costs for relocation under the responsibility of the electricity sector or the locality, the relocation of the power grid infrastructure has not been implemented yet.
On September 10, 2025, Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade sent a document to Dong Nai Electricity Company regarding the urgent relocation of the power infrastructure system to serve the construction of the project to upgrade and expand DT.753 road and build Ma Da bridge connecting with Long Thanh International Airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai port.
After receiving the guidance document from the Southern Power Corporation, Dong Nai Power Company coordinated to survey and report to the Corporation to arrange capital for relocation. In particular, Dong Phu and Dong Xoai Power Management Teams have completed the statistics and made a list of the current status of the power grid that needs to be relocated.
Accordingly, relocate section 2 from pillar 48 at Soc Mien intersection to pillar 310 of the Silicon Ore Processing Factory, with the following volume: 22kV medium voltage line: length 13.5 km, with 343 pillars; Distribution transformer station: 16 single-phase stations, 27 three-phase stations; Low voltage line: length 14 km, with 263 pillars. The total relocation cost is estimated at 20 billion VND.
However, according to the leader of Dong Nai Power Company, up to this point the relocation cannot be carried out because the entire route has not been handed over clean land. Regarding this content, Dong Nai Power Company has also worked with the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, but the Project Management Board has not yet handed over clean land for the entire route to Dong Nai Power Company to carry out the relocation.

Mr. Do Van Duong - Deputy Director of Dong Nai Electricity Company informed that with the current construction status of DT.753 road and the actual recorded site on October 28, 2025, the relocation of the power grid intermittently or not along the entire line (relocating in advance the poles that the construction unit has dug the road to the base of the pole, inside there is empty land) is not feasible.
The reason is that after relocation, to restore stable power supply, it is necessary to synchronize the entire system, including transformer stations, towers, conductors and accompanying switching equipment. The time of power supply interruption for construction needs to be limited to the lowest level, to ensure the daily life and production needs of the people.
In addition, the investor has not yet handed over a clean site to be able to organize construction. Therefore, to ensure the relocation is synchronous and safe, while minimizing the impact on people's lives and production, Dong Nai Electricity can only implement the relocation when the investor hands over a clean site for the entire route, clearing houses, fences, billboards, trees, etc. that violate the grid safety corridor.
Therefore, to ensure safe and stable power supply for people and businesses, Dong Nai Electricity requested the construction unit to take measures to reinforce and prevent landslides on electric poles when constructing and widening roads. At the same time, it requested the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board to coordinate with departments, branches and sectors to promptly determine the location of electric poles and hand over the specific relocation foundation markers for each electric pole.
The leader of Dong Nai Electricity Company affirmed that after the project investor hands over the clean site (the entire route) of the relocation locations, Dong Nai Electricity Company will implement the items under the responsibility of the electricity industry, and commit to implementing according to the project schedule.
Previously, on October 28, Vietnam News Agency published an article titled "Power lines 'hinder' the progress of the project to upgrade and expand DT.753 route", talking about the project to upgrade and expand DT.753 route facing the risk of being behind schedule due to problems in relocating power lines, affecting the quality of some items, as well as causing traffic insecurity on the route.
