Economic - Defense Group 75 hands over the project "Bright star of the village" in Ia Krel commune

(GLO)- On the afternoon of October 28, in Ia Krel commune (Gia Lai province), Economic - Defense Group 75 (Army Corps 15) held an inauguration ceremony, handing over the "Sunshine of the Village" project and giving breeding cows to poor and near-poor households in the area.

Attending the event were Colonel Khuat Ba Cao - Party Secretary, Deputy Commander of Army Corps 15; representatives of Army Corps' functional agencies; leaders of local Party committees and authorities, and a large number of people from Neh and Al Gon villages of Ia Krel commune.

The project “Shine of the Village” was invested in and built by the Economic - Defense Group 75 in Neh and Al Gon villages, with a total length of 5.2 km, installing 170 solar-powered lights, with a total value of more than 427 million VND. During the construction process, officers, soldiers and people jointly contributed more than 320 working days.

After being put into use, the lighting system has lit up all the roads through residential areas, schools, community centers and churches; serving 692 households with nearly 2,700 people, contributing to ensuring security, order, traffic safety and changing the appearance of border villages.

Also on this occasion, Economic - Defense Group 75 organized the donation of 51 breeding cows to 51 poor and near-poor households in 10 villages of Ia Krel and Duc Co communes. The total cost of implementation was over 1 billion VND.

This is a model within Project 3, Sub-project 3 of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, 2021-2025 period.
