Gia Lai: Bringing solar power to the border area of ​​Mook Trel

On October 20, Economic - Defense Group 72 (Army Corps 15) held the inauguration and handover of the "Sunlight of the Village" project with a solar-powered lighting line to the people of Mook Trel village, Ia Dom commune, Gia Lai province.

Economic - Defense Group 72 inaugurated the "Bright Star of the Village" project in Mook Trel village.

The project is 2.5km long, with 70 6m high stainless steel lamp posts installed, using 300W solar bulbs, with a total cost of more than 170 million VND, drawn from the welfare fund of Economic - Defense Group 72.

Mr. Le Trong Phuc, Chairman of Ia Dom Commune People's Committee, said that recently, Economic - Defense Group 72 has implemented many social security activities such as: building roads, removing temporary houses, donating breeding cows, giving gifts to policy families, awarding scholarships to poor students, contributing to helping people have a more stable life.

Regarding lighting, many roads in Mook Trel village have not been invested in before, so the construction of the lighting road shows the concern, care and attachment of the officers and soldiers of the 15th Army Corps to the ethnic minority people. The project helps people and students travel more conveniently, ensures security and order, creates momentum for socio-economic development for the locality, with about 3,000 people benefiting.
