Mr. Pham Dong Thao, Vice President of Hoa Thiet Design Company (China) shared with VNA reporters about the strategy of expanding investment in Vietnam, especially in the fields of infrastructure and modern services.
During a press conference on the sidelines of the Vietnam-China Tourism and Investment Promotion Forum, Mr. Pham Dong Thao, Vice President of Hoa Thiet Design Group Limited Company (China), shared with VNA reporters in Beijing about the strategy to expand investment in Vietnam, especially in the fields of infrastructure and modern services.
According to Mr. Pham Dong Thao, Hoa Thiet Group has been implementing cooperation activities in many localities of Vietnam such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi , Da Nang, Lang Son and Thai Nguyen.
The projects mainly focus on investment and construction of infrastructure, from transportation systems, urban works to accompanying service areas.
In addition, the group is also negotiating cooperation with a number of Vietnamese enterprises to expand the scope and scale of the project.
“We entered the Vietnamese market in 2024. Before that, in China, the group had many years of experience successfully implementing large infrastructure projects. Through the connection of Vietnamese enterprises, we found good partners to jointly conduct surveys and promote projects in Vietnam," he said.
During more than a year of presence in Vietnam, Hoa Thiet Group has found that the investment and business environment in Vietnam “far exceeds initial expectations,” as Vietnam has a very fast socio -economic development speed and is only about 5 years behind China in development, instead of 15 years as previously predicted.
Mr. Pham Dong Thao confided: “I used to think that Vietnam was many years behind China, but after witnessing the development in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, I see that Vietnam is moving very fast. In particular, the Vietnamese people - from farmers, workers to businessmen - all exude an excited spirit and confidence in future prospects. This is the factor that makes the investment environment attractive.”
According to the head of Hoa Thiet Group, the projects implemented in Vietnam have initially gone smoothly and have not encountered any major obstacles. The similarities in culture and working style of the people on both sides have contributed to this success.
"Vietnamese and Chinese people are both hard-working, progressive and flexible in their work. This creates favorable conditions for cooperation between the two sides. Therefore, we have identified Vietnam as a key market in our long-term development strategy," he affirmed.
In the coming direction, Hoa Thiet Group will focus on building traffic infrastructure and modern services along the highway. Mr. Dong Thao expressed his impression of Vietnam's infrastructure projects that have the potential to generate profits and bring long-term benefits, similar to projects in China 10 years ago.
Infrastructure projects not only help promote economic development but also have the ability to quickly recover capital thanks to reasonable exploitation mechanisms.
From its experience operating in China, Hoa Thiet Group pays special attention to developing modern service stations, which are not only stops but also integrate many functions such as shopping, dining, entertainment and become community exchange centers.
Another highlight in Hoa Thiet's investment strategy is the comprehensive application of digital technology in the design, construction and operation of projects. The group is currently developing a 3D design and management system, allowing monitoring of the entire project life cycle, from design, construction to operation and maintenance.
Thanks to digitalization, the group can monitor progress and accurately measure technical parameters (from deformation, vibration to construction temperature). The system also supports early warning, helping to prevent natural disasters and ensure labor safety.
Mr. Dong Thao especially emphasized the benefits of preventive maintenance technology. Instead of waiting for equipment to fail before replacing it, the system will automatically warn when its lifespan is over, thereby helping to save costs, ensure safety and improve operating efficiency.
In addition, Hoa Thiet is also interested in applying new technologies such as smart traffic, self-driving cars, and drones in construction monitoring and infrastructure management.
According to the plan, in the coming period, Hoa Thiet will send a large team of experts to work in Vietnam to directly accompany domestic partners.
The Group expects this cooperation to contribute to promoting key infrastructure projects, while bringing new service development models, contributing to Vietnam's modernization process in the context of the Vietnamese Government persistently pursuing the orientation of attracting investment in high-tech and new energy fields./.
