On the afternoon of October 31, the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with Chibooks to organize a literary exchange with famous Chinese writer Liu Zhenyun at the Reverie Hotel (Saigon Ward).
The meeting was attended by a large number of readers who admire the writer, as well as scholars and students majoring in culture and China in Ho Chi Minh City. The focus of the meeting was to share Mr. Liu’s views on many issues related to today’s youth among readers.
"I think we can find what we have forgotten in life through reading books and the morals in books," Mr. Luu advised young people.
Sharing more views with today's youth, Mr. Luu affirmed that although there are some people following the "lie still" movement (almost giving up), most young people are still working hard.
"Many young people are really doing very well now. It is thanks to such young people that society can develop. I find that their endurance really cannot be underestimated. I believe in these young people," Mr. Liu declared.
AI and the human soul
When asked whether the previous generation's work experience is no longer relevant in today's working environment, Mr. Luu affirmed that it is an inevitable law of history.
He explained: "In the past, clothes were all hand-made, there were many tailors and tailor shops. But now clothes are all industrial products. Those who do hand-made sewing may find it a challenge, but this is the general development trend of the world .
We are now seeing the development of artificial intelligence (AI). All of these things were not available to the previous generation, and were not accessible. This is the inevitable law of development and it will change very quickly."

However, the Chinese writer emphasized that there is still one thing that changes very slowly: the human soul.
"More than 2,000 years ago and now, human souls are still quite similar. For example, mothers love their children very much, and children are also very filial. These changes are very slow because they are related to humanity, the soul, and human emotions," Mr. Luu affirmed.
The famous Chinese writer also expressed his opinion that AI cannot completely replace people working in the creative field. According to him, AI can simulate some creativity, but cannot create something completely new.
"Someone asked AI to simulate my writing style, writing style, and writing habits to compose a work. Simulating my previous works is possible, but asking AI to compose the next work is impossible. Because that work is in my head, and AI cannot be in my head to know what I will do next," Mr. Luu explained.
