Following the surprising announcement of the signing of striker Nguyen Van Toan on August 6th, on August 7th, the official website of Nam Dinh FC continued to make new moves related to this transfer.
Will Van Toan leave Seoul E-land after the 2023 season?
Specifically, the Nam Dinh team stated that Van Toan is currently still under contract with Seoul E-land FC in the South Korean second division.
However, Nam Dinh also subtly hinted that they are willing to wait for the former HAGL star's contract with the South Korean team to expire before proceeding with the deal.
"The news that Nam Dinh has reached an agreement with striker Nguyen Van Toan to play in the V-League 2023-2024 has received great attention from the public."
Shortly afterwards, the agency representing the 1996-born striker responded, stating that the player from Hai Duong is still under contract with Seoul E-land.
In a recent announcement, Van Toan's representative company stated: "Van Toan remains a player of Seoul E-Land and will continue to stay with the team until the end of the 2022-2023 season."
Therefore, it can be understood that Van Toan's contract with Seoul E-Land will only expire at the end of this season.
Currently, the K-League 2 has completed 25 rounds. The team Van Toan plays for, Seoul E-Land, is currently ranked 11th with 26 points.
"The 2023 K-League 2 season won't conclude until the end of November," the Nam Dinh Club's official website wrote.
Therefore, if the terms are agreed upon, Van Toan could return to Vietnam to play football as soon as the K-League 2 2023 season concludes.
Notably, some sources reveal that Nam Dinh Club is reportedly willing to pay 15 billion VND in signing bonuses to entice Van Toan to play for the team at Thien Truong Stadium.
Meanwhile, commenting on the striker born in 1996, Nam Dinh's coach Vu Hong Viet said: "Van Toan is a good player that any coach would want in their squad, and I am no exception."
His playing style fits the tactical plan I'm developing in Nam Dinh.
Up to this point, we have respected the contract between Van Toan and Seoul E-land.
"I hope he performs well during his time playing in South Korea, and Nam Dinh will wait until Van Toan's contract with Seoul E-Land expires before negotiating with him."
In related news, not long ago, Nam Dinh Club was boycotted by its own fans for its lack of enthusiasm in the match against CAHN.
