Under the guidance of head coach Mai Duc Chung, the players are focusing on perfecting their physical strength, combining technique and tactics, aiming to best prepare for the 33rd SEA Games which will take place at the end of this year.
According to the plan, the national women's team will have two friendly matches with Ho Chi Minh City women's club on November 1 and 4. This team is also currently training at the Center to prepare for the 2025/26 Asian Women's Club Championship.
Competing with quality domestic opponents is an important opportunity for coach Mai Duc Chung to review his squad and test tactics in the context of not much preparation time left.
Sharing with the press, coach Mai Duc Chung said that the weather conditions in Hanoi at this time are very favorable, with an average temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius, helping the players maintain good physical condition and high spirits during training.
“We have a harmonious combination of experienced veterans and potential young players. The whole team is showing clear progress through each training session,” said Mr. Chung.
Defender Tran Thi Thu commented: “The training volume this time is higher than before, so both the physical strength and technique of the whole team have positive changes. Every day, we have a new and very interesting training plan. Coach Mai Duc Chung always emphasizes that the team is in a difficult group, so the whole team must prepare carefully for the upcoming SEA Games. The young players adapt quickly, and opportunities are divided equally for everyone. Whoever tries their best can be selected to compete.”
Meanwhile, young midfielder Ngoc Minh Chuyen expressed: “I am 21 years old this year, I still need to learn more from my seniors. In the national team, we are trained very carefully in physical strength and technical-tactical skills. Coach Chung always reminds that Southeast Asian players must focus on improving their physical foundation to be able to go far. I will try to adapt better to the intensity of professional competition to be able to contribute to the team in the future.”
With a serious training spirit and a desire to express themselves, the national women's team is showing positive signs both personally and professionally.
After a series of friendly matches in early November, the team will continue their preparation journey with a 10-day training trip in Japan from November 20 to 30. Before leaving, coach Mai Duc Chung plans to organize 1 to 2 more practice matches to review the team's strength and perfect their playing style, ready to conquer important goals at the SEA Games and tournaments in 2026.
