Iran is reportedly preparing a proportionate response after Israel launched three waves of attacks on Tehran in the early hours of October 26.

Iran's Tasnim news agency, citing sources, reported that the country is preparing to retaliate against Israel's actions. "There is no doubt that Israel will face a proportionate response for any action they take," the source said.
Meanwhile, The Washington Post, citing a source familiar with Israel's military plans, reported that Tel Aviv's attack was expected to last for several hours and that among the military sites targeted were air defense systems and missile production facilities.

US and Israeli officials told Axios reporters that the Israeli attack took place in three phases, with the first targeting air defense systems, and the second and third focusing on bases and production sites for missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Israeli public radio announced that the operation against Iran had ended after three waves of attacks. The Israeli military confirmed that it had completed the attacks targeting military objectives in Iran and that the aircraft had returned safely.

The extent of the damage in Iran is currently unclear. State media reported that the civil aviation authority has suspended all flights until further notice.
Iran announced that its air defense systems successfully repelled the Israeli attack, but some locations suffered "limited damage." Iranian air defenses said Israel attacked military targets in the Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces.
The Israeli military has stated that if Iran makes the mistake of initiating a new escalation, Tel Aviv will be forced to respond.
