(GLO)- On August 15, the Xuan An Commune Party Committee held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term with the participation of 598 party members from 32 affiliated party cells. Comrade Tran Cang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Finance attended and directed the Congress.

Xuan An Commune was established on the basis of merging Cat Tuong and Cat Nhon communes. During the past term, the Party Committee, government and people of the two communes have made great efforts to fulfill their tasks and achieved many outstanding results.

The work of Party building and political system organization has been consolidated, the quality of activities of the Front and associations and unions has been improved, security and order have been maintained, the economy has continued to grow, and many positive results have been achieved in the cultural and social fields.

During the past term, the total production value increased by an average of 13.04%, exceeding the Resolution by 0.54%. The economic structure shifted in the right direction. Average income per capita reached 65 million VND/year, an increase of 20.1 million VND compared to 2020. The national target program on new rural construction continued to be widely implemented, in which Cat Nhon commune was recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024, Cat Tuong commune achieved 12/19 criteria for advanced new rural communes.

With the motto "Solidarity - Discipline - Responsibility - Creativity - Development", in the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of Xuan An commune raises its determination to build a truly clean and strong Party Committee; strengthen national defense and security, ensure social security; strongly promote the revolutionary tradition, spirit of solidarity, self-reliance and aspiration of the entire people.

Along with that, the commune aims to continue promoting internal strength, maximizing external resources, effectively exploiting potentials and advantages for rapid and sustainable economic development. The goal is to increase the average total product value by 12.3% annually; by 2030, retail sales of goods and services will reach 659 billion VND, average income per capita will reach 75 million VND/year; the rate of rural residents using clean water will reach 100%; annually, over 90% of grassroots Party organizations will successfully complete their tasks...

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Tran Cang praised the achievements of the Party Committees of Cat Tuong and Cat Nhon communes before the merger; at the same time, he directed a number of tasks that the Party Committee of Xuan An commune needs to implement in the 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Tran Cang suggested that the Party Committee of Xuan An commune continue to promote its strengths, overcome limitations, strongly innovate leadership methods, improve management and operation capacity; focus on building a team of exemplary, dedicated and responsible cadres; pay attention to promoting administrative reform, creating a favorable environment to attract investment.

He emphasized that the Party Committee of the commune needs to strengthen internal solidarity, urgently plan a new overall commune to exploit the potential and advantages of the key communes identified by the province; focus on developing trade and services; care for cultural and social development, apply science and technology, digital transformation, especially improve the quality of administrative reform to serve the people.

The Congress announced the decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on appointing the Party Executive Committee, the Party Standing Committee and key positions of the Xuan An Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Do Xuan Thang was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Commune Party Committee.
