Surveying the C1 and C2 marine farming areas in Nhon Hai and Thanh Hai communes, Ninh Hai district, the Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the potential and prospects of the province's marine farming area with a large water surface area of ​​hundreds of hectares in Ninh Chu Bay. This area has been surveyed, evaluated as suitable and included in the aquaculture development planning.

Currently, many households and businesses have invested in modern cages and expanded their scale to raise seafood such as grouper, lobster, sea cucumber, and squid for high productivity and economic efficiency. In particular, recently, some businesses have invested in modern marine farming technology, suitable for farming conditions in the planning area, initially bringing economic efficiency and opening up prospects for developing suitable farming areas.

For example, the East Sea Jumping Squid Joint Stock Company has boldly invested 120 billion VND in research and has initially succeeded with a pilot model of breeding and raising squid in a semi-natural environment using large HDPE plastic cages. Of which, there are 6 rectangular cages and 3 circular cages, and the largest HDPE plastic cage size is 7,850m2, with a volume of 100,000m3 of water, with an investment of over 15 billion VND.

This is the largest cage in Vietnam and also the largest cage designed and constructed using HDPE technology in the world . According to the design, the cage can withstand level 8 and level 9 waves. Notably, in the same cage, this enterprise is currently not only raising squid but also piloting the farming of other objects such as snails, sea cucumbers on the bottom layer and seaweed on the surface layer to increase economic efficiency.

The Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the Company's innovative approach and investment direction in marine farming; thereby requesting the enterprise to continue to make efforts and determination to achieve the highest results in implementing the marine farming model in a semi-natural environment. This is also the first step to help the province clearly identify the potential and advantages to have strategic orientations to promote Ninh Thuan 's marine farming industry to develop strongly, effectively and sustainably in the coming time.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct the functional departments, branches and Ninh Hai district to create all favorable conditions for enterprises; continue to attract investment, have appropriate policies to promote the development of the marine economy. From the success of marine farming projects, there should be early assessments, at the same time organize licensing of aquaculture areas in accordance with the provisions of law and support enterprises to access development investment capital, credit capital, encourage and attract economic sectors to invest in marine farming and deep sea farming, create quality seafood products, meet market demand, increase economic efficiency.

After inspecting the infrastructure, the Provincial Party Secretary congratulated the Provincial Border Guard Command on having a new, spacious and modern working headquarters and requested contractors and construction units to promptly complete the remaining sub-items to put them into use soon.
