Visiting the construction site of the multi-level interchange project at the intersection of Ton Duc Thang Street, Mang Nuoc Road, and National Highway 5 (Multi-level Interchange Project) in An Dong commune, An Duong district, Hai Phong city, in early April 2024, one could see a bustling and busy atmosphere. The construction contractor was concentrating machinery, equipment, and personnel to complete the final items in order to bring the project to completion as soon as possible.

With a total investment of nearly 690 billion VND from the local budget, the multi-level interchange project is one of the key transportation projects of Hai Phong City. The project is expected to eliminate traffic congestion hotspots and high-risk traffic accidents on National Highway 5, while also completing the transportation system of the port city.

The construction contractor is completing the final stages of the multi-level interchange project in An Duong district, Hai Phong city.

According to information from the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the multi-level intersection project was approved by the Hai Phong City People's Committee in Decision No. 2112/QD-UBND dated July 1, 2022. The unit assigned to act as the investor's representative is the Hai Phong City People's Committee.

The multi-level interchange project commenced on January 7, 2023, and is expected to be completed and put into operation in July 2024. The contractor is a consortium of Khang Nguyen Infrastructure Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, Bridge 14 Joint Stock Company, and Phuc Loc Group Joint Stock Company.

During the project's construction, the contractor encountered numerous difficulties, primarily related to land clearance. As of early April 2024, 13 households whose land was to be acquired for the project had yet to hand over the land. In addition, construction faced many obstacles due to the limited space and the need to maintain traffic safety while carrying out the work.

Currently, the contractor is painting the hard median strip, planting flowers to create a landscape...

To facilitate the construction of the branch road and interchange under the bridge, the Hai Phong Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation Works issued Document No. 331/BQL-DA2 requesting the Department of Transportation to organize temporary traffic diversion from April 5th.

At the same time, we request that the People's Committee of An Duong District, Hai Phong City, direct relevant units, departments, and divisions to resolve all outstanding issues and hand over the entire site to the construction contractor before April 10th.
