Hanoi launches two rare affordable social housing projects.

(CLO) The Hanoi Department of Construction has announced a plan to accept applications for the resale of social housing units that have been leased out for the full term in two projects. These are apartments that were previously lease-to-own schemes, but are now being resold according to regulations.

First is the Bamboo Garden social housing project, invested by CEO Group Joint Stock Company, located in the Quoc Oai urban area (formerly Quoc Oai district), nearly 30 km from the center of Hanoi .

In the first phase, 86 rental apartments will be converted for sale, with areas ranging from 48 to 58 m2. The expected selling price is nearly 10 million VND/m2 (including VAT and maintenance fees), equivalent to 486 - 586 million VND per unit. The application period is from December 1, 2025 to January 15, 2026.

Bamboo Garden spans over 1 hectare and comprises two 9-story buildings with 432 apartments, representing a total investment of over 242 billion VND.

The Hanoi Department of Construction also noted that the investor only accepts applications at the aforementioned location; applicants must personally submit their applications, sign the receipt, and register their preferences regarding apartment size. The city strictly prohibits organizations and individuals from exploiting social housing policies to collect money or accept deposits illegally.

Residents are advised not to transfer social housing ownership illegally and not to submit applications to purchase housing at locations not announced by the developer on the Hanoi Department of Construction's website.

Reportedly, the Bamboo Garden social housing project consists of two buildings, CT9A and CT9B, with 432 apartments. This project previously caused a stir when its sales process was sluggish, requiring 23 attempts to sell all the units.

Also in Hanoi, the social housing project at plot 5B2 in the Dong Hoi resettlement area, formerly Dong Anh district, developed by Thang Long Co., Ltd., is accepting applications for sale.

This area has 88 apartments that are being converted from rental to sale, with areas ranging from 57.8 to 67.2 m2. The selling price of these apartments is over 15 million VND/m2, equivalent to approximately 867 million to over 1 billion VND per unit. The application period is from December 1, 2025 to January 12, 2026.

The social housing complex in Dong Hoi covers a total area of ​​over 4,500 m2 and includes a 30-story apartment building with 2 basements, providing 504 apartments.

According to the plan to develop at least 1 million social housing units, Hanoi has been assigned to build 56,200 units by the end of 2030. This year, the city expects to complete 6 projects with more than 4,700 units, exceeding the annual target.
