Weather forecast October 15, 2024: Heavy rain in the Northwest, high tide in the South

According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, the weather trend from now until October 16th is as follows:

The Northern and North Central regions will experience scattered rain, with light fog in the early morning, and sunny days; however, the Northwest and Northeast mountainous areas will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain, and scattered showers and thunderstorms from October 16th onwards.

Central and South Central Vietnam: On the night of October 14th and during the day of October 15th, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas, especially in the north where there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain in some places.

From the afternoon of October 15th to October 16th, there will be rain, moderate rain, and scattered thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rain.

Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam: On the night of October 14th, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas, especially in Southern Vietnam where there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some localized areas.

From October 15th to 16th, there will be moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with locally heavy rain in some areas (concentrated in the afternoon and evening).

In addition, at present, the water level in the eastern coast of the South is tending to increase due to high tides. It is forecasted that from the evening of October 14-15, the coast from Vung Tau to Ca Mau is likely to experience high tides of 395-405cm, with high water appearing between 0:00-4:00 and 12:00-16:00 every day. Low-lying areas and areas outside the dike are at risk of flooding due to high tides.

Weather at sea, on the night of October 14 and October 15, the western sea area of the North East Sea (including the waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago), the southern East Sea area (including the waters of the Truong Sa archipelago), the sea area from Quang Tri to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 7-8.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.

Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some areas. Light winds. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 21-24 degrees, some places below 20 degrees.

Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees.

Northeast

Cloudy, with scattered rain at night, light fog in the early morning, sunny during the day; particularly in the northern mountainous areas, it will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, and locally heavy rain. Light winds. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

Lowest temperature: 22-25 degrees, in mountainous areas some places below 22 degrees.

Highest temperature: 29-32 degrees.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

In the North, it will be cloudy with scattered rain at night, light fog in the early morning, and sunny during the day; in the South, it will be mostly cloudy with rain, moderate rain, and scattered thunderstorms, with locally heavy to very heavy rain. Light winds. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees.

Maximum temperature: 28-31 degrees, with some areas in the North exceeding 31 degrees.

Da Nang - Binh Thuan

Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. From tomorrow afternoon onwards, there will be rain, moderate rain, and scattered thunderstorms, with locally heavy to very heavy rain in some areas. Northeast wind at level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
