Tourists packed the shore and beaches in Quang Ninh on the first two days of the holiday.

According to observations by reporters from Giao Thong Newspaper, during the first two days of the April 30th - May 1st holiday, the number of tourists visiting Quang Ninh increased dramatically, causing many roads and beaches to be overcrowded.

The beaches in Co To island district were packed with tourists on the first day of the holiday.

Specifically, according to reports from Ha Long City (Quang Ninh province), in the first two days of the April 30th - May 1st holiday, the city welcomed tens of thousands of tourists. On April 27th alone, the number of visitors to Ha Long City reached nearly 50,000 (three times more than on normal days).

Of these, domestic tourists accounted for over 39,000 visits, international tourists nearly 9,000 visits, and total revenue from tourism and services reached over 105 billion VND.

According to information from Ha Long City, with the goal of welcoming approximately 270,000 visitors during this year's 5-day holiday, local authorities have prepared many unique festivals and cultural experiences. Starting on April 27th is the Dragon Festival; followed by the Beer and Squid Festival; the 2024 Ha Long City Expanded Zumba Festival; and the opening of the Bai Chay pedestrian street.

In particular, on the evening of April 28th, the Ha Long Carnival program themed "Shining Bright with Wonders" will take place at the Ocean Park beach in Bai Chay City, promising to bring visitors experiences that are rich in cultural identity, yet also vibrant, new, and modern, contributing to enhancing competitiveness and increasing the attractiveness of tourism in Ha Long in particular and Quang Ninh province in general.

Many activities in Ha Long City attract large numbers of tourists.

This series of events kicked off an exciting summer for tourism in Ha Long in particular and Quang Ninh in general. On the very first day of the holiday, accommodations and restaurants were packed, with 4-5 star hotels in Ha Long City achieving 100% occupancy.

However, the city proactively prepared well to serve tourists and residents, thus avoiding prolonged traffic congestion, maintaining stable security and order, and ensuring food safety and environmental hygiene.

Many hotels and restaurants are offering discounts to attract tourists, emphasizing price reductions without compromising quality. Travel agencies are also offering a wide variety of products at competitive prices, avoiding price gouging during the summer peak season.

Mr. Pham Trung Hieu, a tourist from Hanoi, said that his family arrived in Ha Long City on the evening of April 26th. Because they had a connection with someone, Mr. Hieu's family was able to book a hotel right in the center of the Bai Chay tourist area.

"On the evening of April 27th, my family ordered food and drinks for a party right near our guesthouse. The prices were quite reasonable, and the service was good," Mr. Hieu said.

The Ha Long Carnival program, themed "Shining Bright with Wonders," held on the evening of April 28th, promises to offer visitors a spectacular "musical feast."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, the owner of a restaurant in Bai Chay ward, Ha Long City, said that her restaurant has been fully booked with orders these past few days. However, in the spirit of "pleasing customers upon arrival and satisfying them upon departure," the restaurant has kept prices as usual during the holiday period.

One of the most popular tourist destinations during the April 30th - May 1st holiday is Co To island district.

According to information from the People's Committee of Co To district, on April 27th alone, 5,000 tourists registered to stay on the island. It is expected that today, April 28th, the number of registered visitors will reach over 10,000.

The ferry services transporting tourists to Co To Island are absolutely safe.

"To ensure the safety of tourists staying and vacationing on the island, the local authorities have directed relevant agencies to do a good job of ensuring food safety and hygiene, strictly controlling transportation routes, especially ensuring the safety of beaches. To date, all related issues have been absolutely ensured," a leader of the Co To District People's Committee said.

At other tourist destinations in Quang Ninh such as Tra Co (Mong Cai City), Cai Chien Island (Hai Ha District), Quan Lan and Minh Chau island communes (Van Don District), the number of tourists is very high, but traffic safety and service quality are all ensured...

Speaking with a reporter from Giao Thong Newspaper on the afternoon of April 28th, Mr. Nguyen Thien Vuong, Chief of the Office of the Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Ninh province, said that up to now, traffic safety and order in the area have been consistently maintained, with no serious incidents recorded.
