The beaches in Co To island district were crowded with visitors on the first day of the holiday.

Specifically, according to news from Ha Long City (Quang Ninh), in the first two days of the April 30-May 1 holiday, this locality welcomed tens of thousands of tourists. On April 27 alone, the number of tourists to Ha Long City reached nearly 50,000 (3 times higher than normal days).

Of which, domestic visitors were over 39,000, international visitors were nearly 9,000 and total revenue from tourism and services reached over 105 billion VND.

Also according to information from Ha Long City, with the goal of welcoming about 270,000 visitors during the 5-day holiday this year, local authorities have prepared many festivals and unique cultural experiences. Starting on April 27 is the Dragon Festival; followed by the Beer and Squid Festival; the 2024 Ha Long City Zumba Festival and the opening of Bai Chay walking street.

In particular, on the evening of April 28, the Ha Long Carnival Program with the theme "Lighting up with wonders" will take place at the Ocean Park beach in Bai Chay City, promising to bring visitors experiences that are rich in cultural identity, but also vibrant, new and modern, contributing to improving competitiveness and increasing the attractiveness of Ha Long tourism in particular and Quang Ninh province in general.

Many activities in Ha Long City attract a large number of tourists.

This series of events has opened an exciting summer for tourism in Ha Long in particular and Quang Ninh in general. On the first day of the holiday, accommodation facilities and restaurants were crowded, 4-5 star hotels in Ha Long City had 100% occupancy.

However, the city has been proactive and well prepared to serve tourists and people, so there has been no prolonged traffic congestion, security and order have been stable, food safety and hygiene, and environmental sanitation have been ensured.
