An Giang Provincial People's Council is expected to hold its mid-year meeting in 2025 on July 29 and 30.

On the morning of July 15, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province Nguyen Thanh Nhan chaired the regular meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council in July 2025 to review and give opinions on many important contents under its authority.

At the second session (mid-year session 2025), the An Giang Provincial People's Council is expected to review reports and submissions of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee on activities in the first 6 months of the year and the work program for the last 6 months of 2025; results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions; results of implementing the 2024 monitoring program and the draft resolution on the 2026 monitoring program.

The People's Committee of An Giang province registered to submit to the July 2025 thematic meeting of the An Giang Provincial People's Council the following contents: allocation of medium-term public investment plan and 2025; total loan amount, budget borrowing and debt repayment plan; budget estimate and allocation for 2025; regulations on support regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and non-professional workers, especially in Tho Chau special zone.

At the regular mid-year meeting of the An Giang Provincial People's Council in 2025, the Provincial People's Committee will present reports on the first 6 months of the year on complaints, denunciations, anti-corruption, crime prevention and control, and the socio- economic situation. The province also proposed a resolution on decentralization of revenue sources, expenditure tasks and budget allocation ratios, as well as a resolution on decentralization of approval of projects on exploitation of inland waterway infrastructure assets.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Nhan requested the Provincial People's Committee Office to closely coordinate with the Provincial People's Council Office to carefully review the contents expected to be presented at the meeting, ensuring consistency, completeness and compliance with regulations. He noted that the Provincial People's Committee should promptly complete the submissions, especially those related to the budget.

In order to prepare well for the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thanh Nhan agreed to hold the second meeting on July 29 and 30, 2025.
