It is expected that all teachers will enjoy a "special salary coefficient"

According to the draft Decree regulating salary policy and allowance regime for teachers, all teachers are entitled to a "special salary coefficient" of 1.15 compared to the current salary coefficient; preschool teachers are entitled to a special salary coefficient of 1.25.

The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced a draft Decree regulating salary and allowance policies for teachers to widely solicit comments from agencies, organizations and individuals.

The subjects of application of the Decree will be teachers recruited to teach and educate in public educational institutions within the national education system.

According to the draft Decree, all teachers in public educational institutions in the national education system are entitled to a "special salary coefficient" of 1.15 compared to the current salary coefficient.

As for preschool teachers, they are entitled to a special salary coefficient of 1.25 compared to the current salary coefficient;

Teachers teaching at schools and classes for people with disabilities, centers to support the development of inclusive education; primary and secondary boarding schools in land border areas are entitled to a special salary coefficient of 1.2 compared to the current salary coefficient;

Teachers teaching at schools, classes for the disabled, and centers supporting the development of inclusive education for preschool children are entitled to a special salary coefficient of 1.3 compared to the current salary coefficient.

The special salary coefficient is calculated with the salary level and is not used to calculate the allowance level. Thus, the formula for calculating the salary level for teachers is as follows:

The formula for calculating the amount of the reserve difference coefficient, the allowance level for allowances calculated based on the basic salary and the allowance level for allowances calculated as a % of the current salary plus the leadership position allowance and the seniority allowance exceeding the framework (if any) is implemented according to current regulations of the law. The special salary coefficient is not used to calculate the allowance level.
