The Binh Thuan Department of Industry and Trade has just announced that the relevant department of Cao Bang province has issued a document notifying the authorities about the import and export of goods to China through border gates.
Accordingly, due to the sudden surge in the number of vehicles heading to the Huu Nghi border gate in Lang Son, traffic congestion has occurred as it is currently the fresh fruit harvesting season. To alleviate pressure on the border gate and improve customs clearance capacity, the Cao Bang Department of Industry and Trade has requested relevant departments in other provinces and cities to address this issue.
For Binh Thuan province, the Department of Industry and Trade has requested that relevant departments, localities, and functional units coordinate and inform businesses and cooperatives involved in processing and exporting agricultural products, as well as transportation businesses in the province, to proactively exchange information with their Chinese partners to plan adjustments to border crossings for goods delivery, avoiding congestion and bottlenecks. Specifically, the border crossings between Cao Bang province and China currently do not experience congestion or bottlenecks, including Tra Linh - Long Bang and Ta Lung - Thuy Khau. These are also the border crossings designated by the General Administration of Customs of China for the import of food, fresh fruits, etc.
In addition, it is necessary to ensure compliance with regulations on product quality, traceability, labeling, and packaging before bringing goods to border checkpoints. Simultaneously, proactively monitor and update information on customs clearance at northern border checkpoints (on the websites of the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Thuan and the provinces of Ha Giang , Cao Bang, Lang Son, and Lao Cai) to proactively manage the transportation of goods to border checkpoints, especially agricultural products for export.
