In 2009, the complex of historical, cultural and scenic relics of Nua Mountain including Nua Mountain, Nua Temple - Am Tien was ranked as a national scenic relic.

According to legend, this is where female general Trieu Thi Trinh used her base to recruit soldiers to fight against the Ngo invaders.

After the death of female general Trieu Thi Trinh, Am Tien temple was both a place to worship the Lady of the Upper Realm and a place for people to worship and remember the merits of Lady Trieu. On the top of Nua mountain, there is also a sacred acupuncture point, which is also the highest position of the mountain.

The 9th day of Tet every year is the day the “gates of heaven” are opened. During these days, this place welcomes tens of thousands of visitors to visit and worship.

Due to the large number of vehicles, it is impossible to move to the parking lot at the temple gate, many visitors choose to park their vehicles at the foot of Nua mountain to walk or take a shuttle bus to the temple.

However, many tourists have reported that the shuttle buses are not safe during the trip. Specifically, shuttle bus drivers drive recklessly, overcrowd passengers, and even use homemade vehicles, which can cause accidents for tourists.

Mr. Le Quang Tuan (a tourist) said that he had to park his vehicle about 1km from the temple and take a shuttle bus for 25,000 VND/person.

“It is not mandatory to pay for the shuttle bus, but the parking lot is too far away, forcing us to rent a car to go to the temple. Riding a car is voluntary, however, the shuttle bus is overcrowded and using a homemade car to transport passengers is too dangerous,” said Mr. Tuan.

After receiving the information, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luan - Chairman of Trieu Son District People's Committee directed specialized departments to inspect and handle the matter.

Speaking to reporters, a leader of the Traffic Police Team (Trieu Son District Police) said that the unit has started an inspection.

The results showed that there were 2 9-seat cars and 5 motorbikes carrying more people than the prescribed number. In addition, the authorities also discovered 2 homemade trucks that were not allowed to operate at the festival.

“The unit has also drawn up administrative violation records for cases of transporting more people than the prescribed number. We have requested the two homemade vehicles to stop operating,” said the leader.

According to the Traffic Police Team leader, this area has registered 10 shuttle buses for the Tet Giap Thin (contracted by a company). Before Tet, the company signed a commitment to strictly comply with regulations. However, due to the lack of functional forces, the number of visitors on the festival day was too large, making it impossible to control all.
