The road project from Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat (Ward 5 and Ward 7, old Da Lat City) to Lang Biang Ward - Da Lat (Lac Duong Town, old Lac Duong District) has a length of 8.9 km, approved by Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee for investment since October 2022, with a total investment of 400 billion VND, invested by Lam Dong Provincial Traffic Project Management Board (PMU). The project started in August 2023, expected to be completed by the end of 2025, but currently only 5 km has been constructed, many sections cannot be constructed due to site clearance problems.

Mr. Tran Van Hiep, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, said that the land recovered in the old Da Lat City area has completed the counting and compensation plan for households whose land was recovered, but because the compensation price has not been approved, the plan cannot be completed and submitted to the competent authority for approval. However, the Lam Dong Provincial Traffic Project Management Board has coordinated with the local government to mobilize and only 50/118 households have handed over the land before paying compensation.
For the land in Lac Duong District (old), the first compensation support payment has been completed for 17/18 households, the second compensation plan has been completed, and it has been submitted to the People's Committee of Lac Duong District (old) for appraisal and approval. However, it has not been approved yet.
According to Mr. Tran Van Hiep, the contractor is currently only constructing mainly on the area that has been handed over the land, but the sections Km 5+038 - Km 5+264; Km 1+094 - Km 1+631 (section 3) cannot be constructed yet because the land has not been handed over to relocate the water pipe system. By early July 2025, only nearly 64% of the contract value has been completed.

In fact, over the past 2 years, many locals and tourists traveling from Lang Biang Ward - Da Lat to Cam Ly waterfall (and vice versa), when passing through the first section of the road at Mang Lin village (Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat), have wondered why there is still a reinforced concrete embankment in the middle of the road. Here, Thanh Nien reporters witnessed vehicles of all kinds moving with great difficulty through this section of the road with reinforced concrete embankment.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duong (a resident of Mang Lin village) said that the concrete embankment in the middle of the road narrowed the road, making it very difficult to travel. Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (a local resident) said that the unfinished road greatly affected the environment and the lives of people in the area. It was muddy when it rained, and dusty when it was sunny.
Lam Dong Province Traffic Project Management Board said that the above concrete embankment belongs to the Cam Ly - Mang Lin road upgrade project, and is part of the embankment to fill soil to upgrade the roadbed.
People hope that the authorities will soon carry out compensation, site clearance, and continue construction to soon complete the upgrading and expansion of the Cam Ly - Lac Duong route. According to the plan, the investment goal of this route is to create a ring road according to the general planning of the old Da Lat city and surrounding areas until 2030, with a vision to 2050.
