According to the investor, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Construction Management Board for Transportation Projects (Transportation Board), the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project has been basically completed from the Phan Thuc Duyet underpass to Hoang Hoa Tham road. The three connection points from the connecting road to Terminal 3, including both elevated and underground sections, are also ready for traffic connection.

The Department of Transport plans to open this section to traffic before the Lunar New Year 2025 to alleviate traffic congestion at the Tan Son Nhat airport gateway.

Specifically, the section from Hoang Hoa Tham Street to the intersection of Cong Hoa and Truong Chinh streets is still facing land acquisition issues involving 22 households. The Tan Binh District People's Committee anticipates completing the land handover by February 20th, so the entire route is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by April 30th.

At the end of the over 4.8 trillion VND connecting road project, the approximately 700-meter section from Nguyen Duc Thuan Street to Cong Hoa Street is basically complete but cannot be fully opened to traffic. The reason is that land acquisition issues have prevented the commencement of construction on many components.
