Road connecting Thang Long Avenue with Hanoi Expressway

According to the Hanoi City Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board, the road connecting Thang Long Boulevard with the Hanoi - Hoa Binh Expressway will be implemented with a total land acquisition and clearance area of ​​approximately 105.8 hectares.

To date, the investor has received the handover of 7.6 hectares of land in the section passing through Tien Xuan commune (Thach That district) and is currently implementing the construction of bored piles (45/68 piles) and casting concrete components (13/128 beams) to serve the construction of the overpass at the planned road Km 2+522.5 (part of package number 31).

To expedite project progress, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh has directed local authorities to be more decisive in land acquisition and site clearance, preventing re-encroachment on cleared land, and avoiding the emergence of social disorder hotspots in project areas.

Hanoi's leaders also requested that resettlement work must ensure that people are provided with housing based on the principle of "having a place to live, guaranteed income, and living conditions equal to or better than their previous residences"; applying the law harmoniously, appropriately, and correctly, and not letting minor issues or obstacles delay the progress of key projects of the city.

Previously, in October 2023, Hanoi City commenced construction of a 6.7km, 6-lane road connecting Thang Long Boulevard with the Hanoi - Hoa Binh Expressway, with a total investment of over 5,200 billion VND.

The route starts at the cloverleaf interchange connecting Thang Long Boulevard with National Highway 21 (Thach Hoa commune, Thach That district); and ends at the intersection with the Hanoi - Hoa Binh expressway at the junction with Van Hoa village road (Yen Binh commune, Thach That district).

The route includes 4 bridges crossing rivers and roads, and 5 tunnels. The project is funded by the city budget and central government support. The Hanoi City Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board is the project's investor.
