Ford has expanded its new 2026 Ranger Super Duty lineup in Australia with the introduction of the premium XLT trim, combining the powerful performance of a midsize pickup with amenities for both work and play. The Ranger Super Duty XLT features a new Pickup body style, in addition to the traditional Double Cab-chassis configuration. The new variant is designed for customers who love off-roading and long trips.
The 2026 Ford Ranger Super Duty XLT pickup truck comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, heated and cooled leather seats, carpeted floors, weatherproof floor mats, and many other premium amenities. Ford also introduced a number of additional equipment options such as Traction Green paint, 8.9-inch digital rearview mirror, Aeroklas Twin in-bed storage system, canopy, side steps and dual battery system – increasing versatility for commercial and touring needs. The 2026 Ford Ranger Super Duty XLT features a tuned chassis and suspension with increased ground clearance, large off-road tires, and a standard snorkel, allowing the vehicle to wade through water up to 850 mm deep.
The overall dimensions of the car are larger than the standard Wildtrak, with a length of 5,470 to 5,644 mm, a width of 2,032 mm and a ground clearance of up to 299 mm. The interior is modernly equipped with 8-way electric perforated leather seats, dual-zone air conditioning, a 12-inch central touch screen that supports SYNC 4 and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Other amenities include a 6-speaker audio system and an e-Shifter electronic gearshift. The car also has a 230V 400W AC charging port and rear air-conditioning vents. Driver assistance technology includes blind spot warning, automatic braking when reversing, rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree camera and the Pro-Trailer Backup Assist trailer control system. Under the hood, the Ranger Super Duty XLT is equipped with a 3.0L V6 turbocharged diesel engine, producing 207 horsepower and 600 Nm of maximum torque. The vehicle uses a 10-speed automatic transmission combined with a full-time 4-wheel drive system with front and rear differential locks. The vehicle has a maximum towing capacity of up to 4,500 kg - the highest in the mid-size pickup segment.
In the Australian market, the Ford Ranger Super Duty XLT is priced from 99,990 AUD (about 65,600 USD). The standard Double Cab Pick-Up version is priced at 93,990 AUD (equivalent to 61,600 USD), while the lowest version is the Single Cab-Chassis priced from 82,990 AUD (about 54,400 USD). Ford has no plans to sell the Ranger Super Duty in North America or Europe, but the company hopes the new variant will meet the diverse needs of Australian users – from heavy hauling to weekend getaways.
