On September 10th, the Da Nang City Department of Health, Hospital 199 - Ministry of Public Security, in collaboration with the Da Nang City Endocrinology and Diabetes Association, organized the 14th Expanded Conference on Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders in Central and Western Vietnam, themed "Updating the Management of Endocrine Diseases, Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders in the 4.0 Era".
This conference attracted nearly 1,000 delegates, including leading speakers on endocrine and metabolic diseases from across the country. The content of the reports and presentations included updated recommendations from international associations and scientific works on endocrine diseases, diabetes, metabolic disorders, and related specialties.
The organizers stated that this is a traditional, specialized scientific conference, bringing together domestic and international experts in endocrinology and diabetes to review scientific research activities and specialized treatment practices in the country. It also aims to update the latest and most accurate scientific information, especially new achievements and research in the era of Industry 4.0 in diagnosis and treatment.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Professor Nguyen Hai Thuy, Chairman of the Central Vietnam Endocrinology and Diabetes Association, stated that the conference was also an opportunity to receive the scientific research results of colleagues conducted in the Central and Central Highlands regions, thereby developing activity programs suitable for each locality...
Notably, according to Professor Nguyen Hai Thuy, the conference received nearly 200 medical papers and scientific research projects from experts in and outside the field across the country.
"These scientific papers are very up-to-date, rich, and diverse. This not only shows that 'endocrinology is a thread running through all medical specialties' but also demonstrates the affection and interest of the experts," Professor Thuy said.
According to the Chairman of the Central Vietnam Endocrinology and Diabetes Association, this conference includes five sessions for young scientists and nurses to encourage young medical professionals to pursue scientific research and to nurture future approaches to medicine in the region and the world.
