On May 15th and 16th, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police coordinated an extracurricular program to disseminate knowledge and equip students in schools throughout Thanh Hoa City with skills to prevent and respond to drowning incidents.
Officers and soldiers from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police conveyed information on preventing drowning to students at Quang Dong Primary School.
Nearly 2,000 students from Quang Dong Primary School, Quang Hung Middle School, and Dong Hai Middle School participated in the extracurricular activities.
Within the framework of extracurricular classes, officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have disseminated and educated students on drowning prevention, analyzed the current risks of drowning for children, and provided recommendations to avoid and minimize drowning accidents, especially during this summer.

Students directly participate in scenarios and are equipped with skills to prevent and respond to drowning, as well as basic first aid skills. Through these beneficial extracurricular activities, students will become advocates for awareness right in their schools and classrooms.

It is known that in May 2023, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa province will continue to coordinate with the People's Committees of wards and communes, the Department of Education and Training, and the principals of primary and secondary schools in Thanh Hoa city to organize extracurricular classes to disseminate knowledge and skills on preventing drowning to students.
