Nearly 500 doctors, soldiers and people participated in voluntary blood donation

(DN) - On August 22, the Red Cross Society of Dong Nai province coordinated with the Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) and Shing Mark University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital (Long Hung Ward, Dong Nai Province) to organize a voluntary blood donation program with the theme "One drop of blood - a million hearts".

The program attracted nearly 500 participants, including doctors, nurses, staff working at Shing Mark University Medical Hospital, soldiers, students, workers, and residents in Dong Nai province. Through screening and fulfilling necessary requirements, the organizers collected 413 units of blood, exceeding the planned target (400 units of blood).

According to the schedule for voluntary blood donation, from now until the end of 2025, the Provincial Red Cross Society will continue to coordinate with various units to organize nearly 60 blood donation drives. The most recent one was on August 27th, held at Thong Nhat General Hospital.
