Nearly 60 billion VND in charter capital for Tay Ninh Environmental Protection Fund

On September 25, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province issued a Decision to establish the Tay Ninh Provincial Environmental Protection Fund, under the Provincial People's Committee, on the basis of merging the Environmental Protection Fund management function of the Long An Provincial Development Investment Fund and the Tay Ninh Provincial Environmental Protection Fund (2 old provinces).

Household waste is collected and transported for processing according to regulations.

The Fund is headquartered at 51 Tra Quy Binh Street, Long An Ward, Tay Ninh Province. It is a state-owned financial institution under the direct control of the Provincial People's Committee, subject to the comprehensive management of the Provincial People's Committee and the state financial management of the Department of Finance. The Fund has legal personality, operates independently, and is authorized to open accounts at the State Treasury and credit institutions as prescribed.

Its international trade name is Tay Ninh Environment Protection Fund (abbreviated as TNEPF).

The Fund's charter capital is nearly 60 billion VND. The Fund's function is to receive capital from the state budget, grants, aid, and funds mobilized from organizations and individuals both domestically and internationally to finance, provide preferential loans, and subsidize interest rates for projects aimed at preventing, mitigating, and remedying environmental pollution, degradation, and incidents, thereby contributing to improving environmental quality and sustainable development.

The Fund's organizational structure includes: the Management Board, the Supervisory Board, and the Executive Board (utilizing the operational management apparatus of the Tay Ninh Provincial Development Investment Fund).

The Fund is responsible for receiving, managing, and using capital for its intended purpose, providing preferential loans, interest rate subsidies, and financing environmental protection projects. At the same time, it has the right to raise capital, appraise projects, recover debts, and dispose of collateral assets in accordance with regulations.

The Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Director of the Fund to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to develop the Charter on Organization and Operation, and submit it to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for approval so that the Fund can officially begin operations.
