Nearly 8.66 billion VND to implement the project to improve the quality of preschool education in ethnic minority areas

The Provincial People's Committee has just approved the 2024 implementation plan of the project "Preschool teachers apply knowledge and teaching skills to create a language-rich learning environment for children in Quang Tri province, period 2022-2026" (TALK Project) sponsored by the Flemish Association for Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance (VVOB).

The project aims to improve the capacity of management staff and preschool teachers in directing, implementing and carrying out the construction of a language-rich learning environment for ethnic minority preschool children, ensuring suitability to the local context.

At the same time, access to scientific advances in preschool education of countries in the region and the world, meet the goals of the preschool education program of the Ministry of Education and Training , contributing to improving the quality of preschool education for ethnic minorities in the province.

The project implementation location is in the districts: Huong Hoa, Dakrong, Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, Cam Lo from February 27, 2024 to the end of December 2026. The total implementation capital is 341,000 EURO, equivalent to nearly 8.66 billion VND; of which non-refundable aid capital is over 7.87 billion VND and counterpart capital arranged from the provincial budget is over 787 million VND.

It is known that in 2023, the TALK Project also carried out many activities in Quang Tri province such as: visiting, working and providing technical support to the professional council; organizing training courses on school management skills, building a language-rich learning environment; visiting and studying in the Kingdom of Belgium; managing and using aid sources, counterpart funds... with a total budget of over 1.3 billion VND.
