Vinh Xuong Commune Police stick to the area, listen to people's feedback
"Three together" with the people
With the spirit of "being close to the people, staying close to the people, sticking to the grassroots", police officers and soldiers at the frontline of the border not only do a good job in their professional and technical work but are also a reliable support for the people, the main force in preventing and combating crime, smuggling, maintaining political security, order, social safety and firmly protecting national border sovereignty and security. In Vinh Xuong, Khanh Binh and Chau Phong communes, the smuggling situation is complicated, illegal entry and exit still exists, the police force (LLCA) strives to perform well the task of administrative management, and at the same time regularly "three together" with the people: Eating together, living together, working together. Lieutenant Colonel Dang Thi Thanh Thuy - Head of Vinh Xuong Commune Police shared: "We have determined that to maintain security and order, we must rely on the people. The people are the eyes and ears of the police. Therefore, staying close to the area, understanding the people, and being close to the people is a key task in all work plans of the police stationed in the border area."
In Chau Phong commune, where there are many Cham people, Lieutenant Colonel Dang Minh Ngoan - Head of the Commune Police said: “After the merger, the management area is very large. The commune has 16 hamlets, over 56,000 people, but the LLCA has only 38 people. To ensure security and order in the area, in addition to rearranging and reassigning the local police, we have strengthened coordination with departments, branches, and organizations, implementing the motto "close to the people, close to the people, close to the grassroots" to perform the task well".
In recent times, thanks to being close to the people and closely following the locality, the border communes' police force has maintained security and order in the locality; ensuring absolute security and safety for major events that have taken place. "After being mobilized to the commune, the regular police force quickly stabilized the organization, did a good job of mass mobilization, and created trust among the people. The models of "Self-managed security and order teams for hamlets and residential areas", "Security cameras"... have shown clear effectiveness. We will continue to promote this model in the coming time", said Lieutenant Colonel Dang Minh Ngoan.
Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, resident of Chau Phong commune, said: “Now people can go to the fields, go to the market, and work at night with more peace of mind. The commune police regularly patrol, and if there is any problem, just call and they will be there immediately. Thanks to the “Security Camera” model, the roads in the commune no longer have the situation of young people driving motorbikes with their exhausts running.”
Stick to the area, control smuggling
In practice, the LLCA of border communes are also the front line in preventing and combating smuggling and trade fraud. Especially during the peak period of anti-smuggling, counterfeit goods, and goods infringing intellectual property rights according to the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 65, localities such as Vinh Xuong, Khanh Binh, and Lac Quoi have increased their forces to the area, organizing patrols on trails, openings, and river wharves... Commune police officers have closely coordinated with border guards, militia, military , and customs to organize checkpoints, patrolling and propagating, mobilizing people not to assist in smuggling, and raising legal awareness for the border community.
According to Chairman of Vinh Xuong Commune People's Committee Bui Thai Hoang, the commune's police force has proactively advised the Party Committee and authorities in the fight against crime, done a good job of grasping the situation from the grassroots level, promptly detecting sophisticated smuggling rings and organizations. "The flexibility and closeness of the grassroots police force, along with the smooth coordination with other units stationed in the area, have contributed to maintaining political security, order and social safety on the border line," said Mr. Bui Thai Hoang.
In the border areas, where socio -economic conditions are still difficult, LLCA not only perform their duties but are also close friends, supporting people in their daily lives. They mobilize and donate to help poor households, students in difficult circumstances, and support the construction of gratitude houses and solidarity houses. These humane acts have contributed to strengthening the close relationship between LLCA and the people.
The constant, persistent, sincere but flexible presence of the border commune police in firmly grasping and thoroughly resolving arising incidents is a vivid manifestation of the correct policy of the Party and State: "Taking the people as the root", maintaining peace from the grassroots.
“The grassroots police force, especially in border communes, needs to continue to promote its core role in maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area. “Being close to the people, staying close to the people, and sticking to the grassroots” is not just a slogan, but must be a concrete action every day to protect the people,” Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Mung advised. |
