Deputy Ambassador of Germany to Vietnam Simon Kreye, Chairman of the German Business Association in Vietnam (GBA) Alexander Ziehe, Chief Representative of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam) Peter Kompalla and representatives of many German and Vietnamese enterprises attended the press conference.

Emphasizing that 2025 is an extremely special year in the relationship between Germany and Vietnam when the two countries celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Mr. Alexander Ziehe said that GBA-Erdinger Oktoberfest is not only a cultural festival, but also a vivid symbol of the strong cooperative relationship between Germany and Vietnam, a forum connecting businesses and people of the two countries. 2025 is also the year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of GBA, and at the same time implement a strategy to increase activities in the Northern and Central regions.

Meanwhile, Mr. Peter Kompalla said that the GBA-Erdinger Oktoberfest is a platform to strengthen economic and trade relations, promote investment, develop vocational training, accelerate digital transformation and pioneer sustainable development. Based on the solid foundation of 50 years of diplomatic relations, Mr. Peter Kompalla believes that the two sides will work together to promote strong cooperation to bring more value to both Germany and Vietnam.

Following the success of GBA-Erdinger Oktoberfest 2024 with more than 10,500 attendees, this year's festival will continue to hold the position of the largest beer festival in Southeast Asia. GBA-Erdinger Oktoberfest 2025 will be held in Hanoi , Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, of which the event in Ho Chi Minh City will take place over three days, from October 9 to 11.
