GELEX Tower achieves LEED Platinum green building certification

On November 15 in Hanoi, the representative of the US Green Building Council awarded the LEED Platinum v4.1 green building certificate to the investor of GELEX Tower building.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification issued by the US Green Building Council is a fair and transparent assessment system for green buildings. In Vietnam, LEED (short for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is considered a symbol of pioneering and sustainability of a group of high-quality and modern office buildings. LEED standards have 4 levels including: LEED Certified, LEED Silver, LEED Gold, and the highest is LEED Platinum. Currently, Vietnam has 8 office buildings receiving LEED Platinum certification, Gelex Tower is 1 of 3 office buildings in Hanoi to be granted this certificate. GELEX Tower has met the main assessment criteria including: Location and traffic; Building a sustainable development environment; Efficient use of water resources; Energy and emission efficiency; Materials and resources; Ensuring air quality and living environment in the building; Innovation in Design.

GELEX Tower is an office building of Investor GELEX, operated by Savills Vietnam.

Specifically, in operation, GELEX Tower controls and optimizes the operation of system equipment to use electricity efficiently, and manages water saving well. The exterior of the GELEX Tower building is installed with glass with good insulation and optimizes the use of natural light to the offices. This reduces power consumption for the cooling system and lighting system (by taking advantage of daylight). In addition, GELEX Tower is arranged with suitable green space, equipped with a full fresh air supply system for all working spaces, ensuring a fresh and comfortable environment.
