Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of May 4, 2025 |
Experts say the coffee market has recovered significantly, thanks to increased demand from China and support from macroeconomic factors. In the short term, coffee prices are forecast to maintain a slight upward trend, but it is necessary to closely monitor factors affecting global supply and demand.
According to data from the General Department of Customs (Ministry of Finance), from the beginning of the year to mid-April 2025, Vietnam's total coffee export output reached 580,999 tons, with a turnover of nearly 47%, reaching 3.3 billion USD. With this result, coffee has surpassed seafood to become the agricultural product with the second largest export turnover, after wood and wood products.
Coffee industry experts say that domestic coffee prices are likely to continue to increase, or at least remain at record highs, if the dry weather continues and supply does not improve. However, the market remains sensitive to weather news and intervention from importers. Many assessments say that with its great potential and long history, Vietnamese coffee has every opportunity to conquer the most demanding markets in the world. However, the door to the world will only truly open when this industry focuses on building a sustainable production chain from farming to processing.
According to some other information, coffee exports of many other countries are starting to increase rapidly to take advantage of high prices in the market.
Uganda's coffee exports nearly doubled in March 2025 compared to the same month last year, thanks to a bumper harvest, according to a report from the Ugandan Ministry of Agriculture. The East African country exported a total of 642,981 bags of various types of coffee (60 kg/bag) in March, up more than 90% compared to the same month last year, the report said.
